Youth’s downtempo label Liquid Sound Design (LSD) launches a brand new series — Future Horizons — designed to delve into the plethora of incredible new music surrounding us. Future Horizons aims to celebrate the fresh sounds from friends of the legendary label, as well as bringing undiscovered artists into the LSD family fold. 

The Lanquidity EP kicks off with one of psy chill’s best kept secrets, Flux Natura, whose gorgeously dreamy ‘Same Heart’ sets the scene for a collection of lush melodies that beautifully mix the organic with the electronic. Saafi Brothers’ ‘Dub Places’ ramps it up a notch and as the name suggests takes us on dubbier trip, a carefully crafted atmospheric journey that is far from languid. Next up, Globular’s Special Trip Remix of Antam Yar’s ‘Voyage’ continues the fluid funk, a deliciously tribal jaunt into the psychedelic realms of downtempo. ‘Dreamcatcher’ is a signature sunshine-kissed Kuban Dub Lagan track, a collaboration with Gumi that raises the tempo and the spirit. Unusual and alternative sounds, experimentation in rhythm and melodic alterations: all of this is The Flying Mars project. Mario Engel, hailing from the green valleys in the middle of the Swiss Alps, was always in contact with different genres and had a good ear for many kinds of music. Now, with his “The Flying Mars” project he wants to channel all of his auditory and composing experiences into a mind-bending mix of creativity, giving his contribution to the already variegated world of electronic music.

The Flying Mars combines Psy-Dub, Ambient, Psy-Chill, as well as Drum & Bass and Psy-Trance, with flowing rhythms and deep bass lines. Through variations, mixing, tests and sonic atom splitting, The Flying Mars’ project strives to simultaneously stimulate mind, body and soul.
