Be Svendsen lässt sich einfach nicht in eine Schublade stecken. Zumindest eins steht aber fest: Seine stilistische Freimütigkeit passt ganz wunderbar an die frische Luft!

Durchweg spaßorientiert betreibt der Däne hier seine einzigartige Klang-Jonglage. Auf minimalem Groove wirbelt er surreale Samples und Melodiefetzen herum, bis sich das Kaleidoskopmuster der Sounds schließlich mit jazziger Stimmigkeit um die swingende Stimme einer Sängerin legt: Let Them Not Weep! Mollono.Bass zaubert für seinen Remix noch mal eine Extraportion Schub aus dem Ärmel, wie so oft ist es die Summe vieler Details, die hier für ordentlich Druck sorgt. Der Titel Leone galoppiert mit wunderbarer Verwegenheit in die Klanglandschaft eines Spaghetti Western. Zwischen Club- und Saloon-Atmosphäre tobt hier eine draufgängerische Party. Damit nicht genug cineastisches Hitpotential: Be Svendsen’s Remix seines unvergesslichen Solo Para Mi entwickelt aus wagemutigen Gitarrenakkorden eine wilde Arpeggio-Hypnose.





It’s simply impossible to put a label on the sound of Be Svendsen. Well, at least one thing can be said: His stylistic open-mindedness is just perfect for open air scenarios!

Seriously fun loving – that’s the style in which the Danish producer performs his signature sound juggling. Based on a minimal groove he whirls around surreal tunes and melody samples until eventually a kaleidoscopic pattern shapes around the swinging voice of a female singer: Let Them Not Weep! Mollono.Bass has even a little more boost up his sleeve, once again it’s the combination of many small details that makes his remix pumping and kicking. The audacious beats of Leone gallop straight into the acoustic landscape of a Spaghetti Western where a wild party is taking off when the adventurous atmosphere of a saloon meets the urban energy of a club dance floor. There’s even more cinematic hit potential on this record: Be Svendsen’s remix of his epic title Solo Para Mi evolves from daring guitar chords into the endless rising of hypnotic arpeggios.

This spectacle of nature could be witnessed at the one or the other open air party during the last summer where it set the crowds into a dreamlike state of euphoria… Using his unmistakable organic groove, Acker Records bigwig Mollono.Bass lays the rhythmic foundations of Traumtänzer. Upon it, Ghanaian beauty AVA Asante plays her violin, building and building, getting ever more intricate and elegant, creating a fantastic crystal palace of sound. The perfect playground for Rene Bourgeois, who jumps up and down its bright corridors and halls, making the ground shake with his lively rhythms. Heute vor einem Jahr wählte ich Musik für meinen Mix "Lebenslänglich" aus und einen Tag später ging er online. Die Auswahl folgte keiner bestimmten Logik – nur gefallen musste sie mir. Was danach geschah ist für mich heute noch unglaublich! Auch wenn Zahlen nur Schall und Rauch sind, schrieb ich wenige Wochen später ein paar davon zusammen mit wünschenswerten aber für mich völlig utopischen Zielen auf einen Zettel und legte diesen in meine Schublade.

Die Ziele wollte ich am letzten Tag des Jahres überprüfen. Ich habe nicht daran geglaubt, sie zu erreichen – geschweige denn zu übertreffen. Eingetreten ist jedoch beides. Ich blicke stolz auf das wohl ereignisreichste Jahr meines Lebens zurück und bedanke mich von ganzem Herzen!

Ich danke euch, meinen treuen Fans und Unterstützern, ich danke allen Künstlern, die mich mit ihrer Musik versorgen und mich inspirieren, ich danke allen Clubs & Veranstaltern, die es mir dieses Jahr ermöglicht haben, andere Menschen glücklich zu machen, ich danke allen neuen und alten Freunden sowie meiner Familie dafür, dass ich bin wie ich bin.

Aber besonders danke ich meiner Freundin, die mir jeden Tag zeigt, dass man alles schaffen kann, wenn man hart genug dafür arbeitet und an sich glaubt. Oft erscheinen uns Ziele zu groß und wir uns zu klein, aber in jedem von uns steckt mehr als wir denken!

The musical background of these two guys is just very different. Everything began with an oldschool hip hop and crossover. In the middle of the 90’s they found their love for house and techhouse music. After moving on as DJ’s and having some solo releases the young and talented guys decided to create THE GLITZ in 2007. There they started with three members - but now they’re down to two now. The first EP “White Line” was a huge success. Surprisingly THE GLITZ found themselves in many DJ playlists and other electronic music charts around the world. Their follwong releases “Chatter” and “Tenga” tie in with the success of “White line”. THE GLITZ have a few releases waiting in the start blocks. So you can get ready for next singles called “Silbersee”, “Last Panther” and “Red Leaves”. Labels like Material, Ideal, Voltage Musique and Pocketgame support THE GLITZ and their kind of electronic music. The keen sense for the right sound at the right moment makes THE GLITZ not only convincing as producer but also as a DJ-Team in the clubs. People love their energetic sets, but also to see their passion behind the decks is worthwhile is the motivation of this two guys.
