I'm a music producer/engineer/songwriter based in Wrexham. 

At the age of 16, I decided I wanted to go into songwriting and enjoyed the recording side of things. The thought of building a song up from a simple melody or chord sequence really intrigued me.

I studied a BTEC National Diploma in Music Technology at Yale College, Wrexham. I received a Distinction for this and went onto study Music Production BA Hons at Leeds College of Music. During this three year course, I obtained a second class degree and learned about songwriting and the recording process to a high degree and also started to produce my 'Thumb print' sound. 

Throughout this time, I was playing gigs as a solo artist and also with my band JKLMNO. During this time, we spent time in the studio and learned alot from other producers we were working with. This lead to me working alongside bands individually in Autumn Road Studios. 

I have also done work in songwriting for Film/TV/Bands/Singers/Games as well as Audio Editing for projects such as voiceovers!

‘You’ve Changed’ is the first single from the new album by Danny Gruff, and it’s due for release on 8th November. This is the first album he’s recorded with his band ‘The Peacemakers’. 

Danny Gruff is a Wrexham born singer songwriter based in Manchester. Since the release of his self titled debut album in 2017, Danny has racked up over a million streams on Spotify, a few sold out UK tours and a few high profile support slots including the likes of Bowling for Soup, McFly, James Bourne (Busted) and Frank Turner. 
 
At the end of 2023, Danny got the band in a practise room to rehearse for a one off show in the Castle in Manchester. The gig sold out months in advance and the plan was to play songs from Danny’s career up until that point. However, the band started writing together in the lead up to the gig, as a way to distract themselves. When the gig was done, the momentum was still there with the band so they booked some studio time for later in the year. 

In September 2024, the band entered The Motor Museum in Liverpool (Arctic Monkeys, 1975, Bring Me The Horizon, The Zutons) to start recording their self produced album, ‘The Circus is In Town’. 
They finished tracking the vocals for the album in Airtight Studios, Manchester (Badly Drawn Boys, The Coureeners, Robert Plant). 

Collectively, the band took influence for this album from Bruce Springsteen, Bleachers, The Faces, War on Drugs and Stereophonics. The album’s theme is based around moving out of your hometown, and returning years later and all the growing up that happens in that time.

JKLMNO, from Wrexham, North Wales are set to release ‘Tell Me Not to Wait’, their first single since the 2015 double ‘Between the Devil and the Sea’ and ‘In Medias Res’.

Past successes have seen them achieve festival appearances at T in the Park, Benicassim and more; airtime on Radio 1, 6music, Wales, regional, amazing radio, podcasts and internet stations around the world and tracks have also been synchronized with Hollyoaks and Alisports. 

Between the Devil and the Sea was the first recording of the band since 2012 when they released Heal / Where Sorrow Lays as a handmade Double A side single, drawing plaudits from 6music, their Native BBC Wales and James Dean Bradfield – who described the track as a ‘beautiful drifting melancholia’.
Adam Walton debuted ‘Devil’ on BBC Radio Wales – describing it as ‘monumental…big music with big meaning...damn, damn, damn, good.”

"Hailing from Bangor whilst studying in University, Shoot the Rabbit have been making a name for themselves in the Wrexham area for the past two years. After practicing in a loft conversion for several months, Shoot the Rabbit played their first gigs in Bangor and have since had headline shows in and around Wrexham and recorded their first demo EP’s. Their first releases "That One Lived" and "Sticky" were released in 2011 and after a year of gigging and writing, "Scribble" was released in late 2012, proving to be the bands most popular release to date. Shoot the Rabbit’s sounds vary from dark and moody refrains to rapturous melodic indie tracks and they have drawn comparisons to Radiohead, Joy Division, The Cure and Arctic Monkeys. Their sound has been described as "a mixture of hypnotic bass and drums, silky seductive vocals and some subtle yet intricate guitar.
