I wrote this song about my Brother, who died in the early hours of New Years Day 2024. He had fought valiantly with stage 4 cancer for 7 years. He did so with an incredible strength, determination, grace and courage. What I now realise is that although his physical self is gone, his love really is just as much with us as it always was.
For anyone going through something similar, losing them doesn't get easier, but learning to move on with them in your heart does!

Your Love Remains

I wrote this song in memory of my father, who passed in 2021. Our relationship wasn't always the easiest, and he didn't always find it easy to connect with others, but through music, we understood each other perfectly. Through melodies and playing guitar together, he gave me the most precious gift, that of music. Through chords structures and harmonies, we were always in synch. 
He passed away just four months after my Mum. The pain of losing her was too much. He really did die of a broken heart. For all his faults, he loved that woman unconditionally and eternally.

Due to Chronic health reasons, I've had to employ the use of midi keyboards and programmes to get the sound of the song and melody (which are all mine, including lyrics) that I wanted. I did play guitar, but I struggle with tension on the strings due to weakness in my hands now.
ALL WORK IS COPYWRITTEN AND ACCOUNTED FOR! 😉 It's all my own work, but I'd still love to work with actual live musicians again. Those were good times.
