Interface is for interaction. But for this episode, Skalm (@dans-market) has made a different kind of interaction and invited Utrecht-based Luke Cohlen (@lukecohlen) to create his version of interface. Moved by his multiform yet consistent sound as well as his experimental record label – aural conduct – she found connection through their shared philosophies of interfacing between contrasts, or as Luke aptly describes “music evoking dualities.” Tune in for an hour of concentrated exploration.

Off The Record this month takes a dive into the mind of Chicago artist and musician Beau Wanzer. 
Wanzer is commonly known for records on Ron Morelli's L.I.E.S. imprint as well as working with labels like Brew, L.A. Club Resource, iDEAL, Natural Sciences, and Nation. His in touch ear with industrial, electro and experimental music has seen him work alongside the likes Traxx and Steve Summers as the excellent Mutant Beat Dance, Dan Jugle as the head banging Juzer and more recently De-Bons-en-Pierre with Maoupa Mazzocchetti. 
For this mix Wanzer goes no holds bared into the world of tape culture with noisey and hissing electro and synth tunes as well as some chuggy industrial moments. We had a quick chat with Beau about the mix and what he has coming up!

the Avenger of Jakbeat presented an alchemical sonic architect weaving sound beyond boundaries into living moments on the dance floor endlessly exploring kode blueprints of unruled electronics as this demonstration undoubtedly was a freeform onslaught of unrestricted, 
under the table music with no boundaries pushing the vision
forward+expanding into the modern day of his interpretation.

Laurent Richard is a Parisian visual artist, record collector and selector under the name of DJ Sundae. Having been immersed in the skateboarding scene since his own early days, Laurent evidently knows his way around niche subcultures, music, outsider art and all things expressive, treasuring obscurities through his current record label Idle Press. DJ Sundae has also been the person behind “No Weapon Is Absolute” on NTS Radio with Cosmo Vitelli, the curator behind a few stellar records, the runner of what was Hollie Records, an ace behind the club decks and much more, all detailed further in our interview.
