Andrew A. Watts is a composer of chamber, symphonic, multimedia, and electro-acoustic works performed worldwide. His compositions have premiered at venues like Burning Man, Ravinia, Jordan Hall, and Holywell Music Room, featuring collaborations with top new music groups such as Dal Niente, Ekmeles, Proton Bern, Distractfold, and Line Upon Line. His recent work, Silicon Valley Requiem, premiered in May 2022.

Watts earned his doctorate from Stanford, master's from Oxford, and bachelor's from the New England Conservatory. His music explores technology, post-human themes, and language desemanticization, often using invented instruments. His treatment of microtonality focuses on evolving material under tight constraints, creating precise surface gestures as impetus for his compositions.

Currently a Lecturer at UC Santa Barbara's College of Creative Studies, Watts also teaches a summer workshop on Algorithmic Composition at Stanford's CCRMA.

Stephen Vincent Casellas is a composer, saxophonist, and baritone from Pembroke Pines, Florida. Stephen’s one goal as a composer is both a simple one and an ambitious one: inspire a positive change in the world. In the past, he has composed music that brings to light discussions of mental health, the environment, and more. Of course, he also composes music for fun. Much recently, his eclectic repertoire of music seeks to blur genre and create unique sonic images through different uses of texture.

Mr. Casellas is currently a saxophonist in the South Florida Pride Wind Ensemble, a co-coordinator of their Youth Pride Band, and an elementary school music teacher as well. He has a Master of Music from New York University in Theory and Composition, where he was in the composition studio of Grammy Award- winning composer Herschel Garfein. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Florida Atlantic University, where he was in the composition studio of Stuart Glazer and the saxophone studio of Neal Bonsanti. In October of 2017, Stephen was a finalist for the CINTAS Foundation for Cuban Arts and Humanities’ Music Composition Award. Both in May of 2018 and 2019 he was a finalist for Mid- America Freedom Band's yearly competition.

Stephen, or “Steph,” as you may call him in person, is lauded as a creative and free thinker (Garfein, 2017). His solo vocal writing is idiomatic, yet fresh and new with experimental crossover elements (Venaglia, 2017). Recently, his wind compositions- particularly for brass- have been hailed as “evocative and fresh, with a unique ability to create multiple textures simultaneously out of dense and relatively homogenous instrumentation” (McCollum, 2019).

Steph’s music has been performed by Stella Voce/North Star Choirs, the FAU Symphony Orchestra, NYU’s Contemporary Music Ensemble, New Directions Chamber Winds, New York’s Youth Music Festival, JACK Quartet, Bearthoven, FSU's Brass Ensemble, Katsyarina Shapochka, Kate Theis and various other vocal soloists, pop arrangements for drag queens like Eartha Quake, and more.

Maxwell R. Lafontant is a Las Vegas based composer of concert music. He has written music for soloists, chamber groups, orchestra, electronics, and the stage. His music has been performed across the country and across the world, from Iowa to Italy, Las Vegas to Abu Dhabi. He has been honored through a performance at the National Conference of Undergraduate Research.

More than a composer, however, Maxwell sees himself as a collaborator; he loves to work with other people, be they other composers, musicians, or someone outside of the music realm. He has written music in collaboration with other composers, as well as worked extremely closely with the musicians who have commissioned him. He has also worked with various theatre and dance productions, including writing incidental music for Mary Zimmerman's Secret in the Wings, as well as Amanda Hamp's dance production Invited to Tea. He was also the music director for the Luther College production's of Tom Stoppard's Arcadia and Eric Overmyer's On the Verge. 

Maxwell is a member of ASCAP and SCI. He recently finished his MM at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas under Virko Baley. He received his BA at Luther College under Dr. Brooke Joyce.


Jamie Leidwinger is a musician fascinated by transition, transformation, and social ritual. She holds a MM in Composition from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins and a BA in Music with a minor in Political Science from Dickinson College.
