The Noisemaker - Giant Steps Podcast (Soundwall.it)

Riccardo Piovesan, born in Treviso (IT), is a polyhedral artist who moves between sound design and live performance.
Fascinated by the art of djing, he gradually arouses his interest in aesthetic developments of sound. The academic background in Visual and Performing Arts led him to elaborate his own voice, seeking to explore different fields of Electronic Music, from techno to IDM. 

Record collector, multimedia format fan and passionate for the unconventional, he had the opportunity to perform all around Europe and Asia including clubs as Tresor, Arma17, About blank or Dude club.

The Berlin based artist is also running his own record label called Last Riot; platform for his most cutting edge developments in sound research, working in the liminal space between art, sound design and new media.

Here at Machine Box Recordings we are committed to work with a sound that is so intense and artistic that will definitely influence masses and create new tendencies.

We truly believe in the passion for the music that lives in the underground scene and we are addicted to a creative innovation that is free of any commercial strings and to compositions that are born from true inspiration.

AS Djs, here at Machine Box Recordings we love to see people dancing and watch the unruly expression of an exited dancefloor; therefore, a important part of our company is connecting our artists with performances on very selective venues where the crowd dances with all their emotions.

I'm combining aleatoric and imperative composition methods to achieve unpredictable, but still enjoyable music patterns and motifs.
In my opinion, mainstream music throughout history overvalued the place of tone in music, so in my craft, I'm trying to concentrate more on the juicy timbre and the mind-breaking rhythm.
