My Liked tracks are an absolute mix of uppers and downers so this is basically a subset of my liked tracks for when I'm in one of those moods and don't want to keep looking for the next fitting track. For Secret Thirteen journal we have worked on a special slowed down techno recording in the spirit of the live sets we have did for Polar Inertia’s recent exhibitions in Brussels and CCA, Tbilisi.

A couple of months ago we have changed all our gear and equipment, and collected new machines but somehow never had enough time to meet altogether and wire them. Finally, we have decided to hook up our new musical gear and equipment to improvise the future of Polar Inertia’s sound.

It was one of those studio jams you do not want to rush to. We took our time. Slowed down the tempo to 112 bpm and sent all synths through a multitrack recorder to catch every moment of the jam session. During hours of knob twisting we went through several states of mind and different styles.

What we are sharing with Secret Thirteen readers is an edited version of what happened that night.

In a relatively short space of time, London-based imprint Lobster Theremin has become one of the most talked about record labels in the city. Helmed by Jimmy Asquith, the label has caught people's attention with a slew of releases that skirt the outer edge of house, techno and electro, often from little known artists.

The label boss has put together an hour long mix of pure Lobster fire consisting of tracks that are yet to drop and some of the best that have come out so far. Get ready for 100% Lobster Theremin.

Just recently THNTS has discovered electronic music, before he was mostly interested in Hardcore, Black- and Doom-metal. 
A record collector and enthusiast he especially appreciated the created atmosphere. Soon he began to find the similarities in atmosphere and sound also in experimental kinds of techno.His DJ-sets resemble this development: sometimes driving, sometimes dreamy, but always telling a tale. 
After 1,5 years of involvement in the apathy crew he was a founding member of the new project ESCH which was born in the beginning of 2016.

Scøpe is a Korean techno producer and DJ and administrator of SCOPÁVIK Podcast. Composition methods encompassing atonal music, experimental music, spectral music and minimal music. All that he learned when he majored in contemporary music composition, and rhythmical elements of Jazz and Black music which he is deeply interested in since his childhood. Scøpe is now on his way of establishing his own world of music with many remix tracks and EP releases. His dynamic DJ sets almost push the listeners into trance by eliciting their subconscious movements with new grooves which rhythmical structures in each track organically intervene with each other and incrementally accumulate into, and then all of a sudden lead them to a lyrical tone, thus presenting listeners with the type of joy that only techno music can deliver by creating an intersection between reason and instinct.

The Berlin based artist is also running his own record label called Last Riot; platform for his most cutting edge developments in sound research, working in the liminal space between art, sound design and new media.
