Simon, Pär and Robert are back together again after their last album Onyx. 

Echo explores mankind's weakness to self destruction. As nature is cyclical so is man's will to destroy. Like a Moth drawn to pulsating light, the painful histories of the past echo with terrifying glee. 

Rumbling drone hits your chest, a smooth contour of bass stroking a distant piano. Subdued humming flows out of Pär's nightly studio into the cold Swedish winter. Across the horizon Robert's angelic choirs boom. The smell of burnt circuits as he cranks his distortion to the melting point within the deep woods of Pennsylvania.

Weekly Music 2017 - Week 6

Saxually Transmitted

This track was created with all source sounds coming from my sax. 
For the rhythm, I sampled various key taps and programmed a beat into DM-1. Then I exported the individual parts of that into Logic where I further edited my drum beat. 
I recorded the initial sax pad by running it through the Afterneath pedal and then used some Logic effects to broaden the pad sound. Next, I recorded a "lead" sax line, which I then reversed and placed in a couple places. 
I exported that lead sax part to my laptop, where I used Traktor to scratch the sample back into Logic. Also tracked some backspins of the sample using Traktor.
