It's common knowledge that Benny Goodman had shunned his classical music carrier for his more free-flowing jazz movement, the critics were skeptical and fans equally dubious but what ensued laid the foundations for one of the most acclaimed and prominent musical styles to date - Jazz. Learning that he would forever be judged on his creative endeavors he vowed never again to allow his freedoms to be publicly scrutinised.
Newly surfaced evidence shows that Mr Goodman had a hidden musical secret, a vice that only a dedicated few were privy too, Intermittently he used to sneak away from his sold -out concerts, dressed incognito in trendy Aramani suits and sparkling jewellery bound for one of London's shadiest venues, A place where coloreds mixed with the elites, the pungent smell of opium filled the halls and prohibition did not exist. Where was this they ask? This was the...  LONDON GARAGE SCENE - JAZZ LONDON!

The first half of the 20th century saw periods of prohibition of the bottle in several countries around the world.
Prohibition became increasingly unpopular during the Great depression, with Bootleggers, Rum runners and organised crime syndicates
cashing in on this, the streets were a muck but the speakeasy's flourished making way for an extraordinary time for music, a time of elegance,
grandeur and down right naughtiness.

If the prohibition of alcohol been allowed to evolve like that of marijuana, many of us out there would not have a source of income.
NO bars, no clubs and no venues, means no Dj's. Pheeeew!!!

This mix attempts to translate the period of prohibition in the United States, from inception to ratification and the dry bits in between.
