waking up early. sun. good workout. touching goosebump music. delicious coffee. yoga. being genuine.

2. Lucidflow: How do you hinder yourself in being creative?
too much macbook, facebook and internet. not being myself. living up to the expectations of others or my projections. stupid distractions like e.g. tv and news that only drain my energy.

3. Lucidflow: how do you support yourself in being creative?
feeling loved, setting priorities, getting my needs met, meeting friends, meditating, workout, psychological work, feeling, enjoing nature. creative questions like e.g. in Dr. Stephen Wolinsky’s books. humour, laughing, weeping.

4. Lucidflow: How did you come across Lucidflow?
I founded Lucidflow together with my dear friend Helmut 2009 to have a platform for our Klartraum output in the first place. :)

5. Lucidflow: Tell us one of your greatest wishes:
I wish everybody was in her/his Unique Self.

6. Lucidflow: If you had an infinite amount of time and money what would you do:
I would do the exact same thing but with more high-end equipment, high-end teachers and in a sunnier spot on this planet (at least in winter hehe)

7. Lucidflow: Anything else you would spread to the Lucid world? 
Mark Twain: “Whoever is happy will make others happy too.”

'Sub Conscious' was originally conceived as the exclusive track for Erol Alkan's 'FabricLive 77' mix, which was released to major critical acclaim back in August. A highlight track within the mix, 'Sub Conscious' has now been remixed by Tin Man and new Phantasy signing Kamera. 

Over the last decade Tin Man has explored an ever-evolving sound palette that touches on house, techno and ambient. His tracks have been laced with slow and subtly shifting patterns that are infused with a very real machine soul and captivating warmth. In his remix of ‘Sub Conscious’, Tin Man drapes Alkan's celestial strings and piano stabs over his own bassline to blissful, rousing effect.

Chicago Flotation Device follow up last year's brutal Untitled acid excursions with a lighter but still pounding 12" on their self-titled, self-released imprint.

Higher is an extended peak-time acid jam, culled from hours of scissor-sythed outtake tapes and 3rd floor studio sessions, distilled into one bubbling, screeching banger.

Untitled 9 is a subtler take on the CFD sound. A clean 808-led, floating Juno jam that drifts undetected in the dark waters off Scarborough bay.

He slots firmly into chic French fashion culture and gritty, underground musical eclecticism at the same time. Over the past couple of years his label has released music from far and wide: pop obscurities from Israel, punk funk from Lithuania and experimental electronics from the likes of Mutado Pintado, Golden Bug and Margot. He delivers over an hour of energetic fun for Ransom Note.

Sling & Samo are the exiting duo behind the Born Free record label which resides in Stockholm. Over the last few years the pair have been releasing a vast array of weird, wonderful, oddball music: some built for the dancefloor and some certainly not. The pair are colourful characters who don't take themselves or what they do too seriously. Samo is also well known in his own right as a producer and dj having released music for the likes of LIES, The Trilogy Tapes and Public Possession but together with Sling the pair enter a new realm of musical exploration. We asked them to record a mix for us.

For Record Store Day 2016, Khruangbin present two new versions of People Everywhere (Still Alive) one of the standout tracks from their 2015 album The Universe Smiles Upon You. First up Khruangbin deliver a beautiful (and much requested) extended version which sees the band develop and refine the track to lengthened perfection. Next in line emerging artist Vuelo works his dub magic, bringing some bass to the occasion and in doing so creating a worthy soundtrack to a beach festival sunrise. 

This imaginative package from Khruangbin brings a new and unique element to their work. Taking the People Everywhere theme, the band's artistic flair and their interest in design, Khruangbin have invited artists everywhere to contribute to this unusual release. Artists taking part are asked to design a template of the People Everywhere paperchain inlay which will be included in each copy sold and in which the vinyl will rest. Using People Everywhere as inspiration, Artists submit their work for selection via a website set up by the band to house the project. All submissions will appear on the website with information about each artist and the chosen designs will be reproduced, die-cut, and distributed among the physical vinyl releases for Record Store Day. Purchasers of the vinyl will own one of a very limited number containing the same design. This idea reaches out across the globe, using music and art to bring together People Everywhere for this one-off project. 

Sharing their first recordings, Bonobo included Khruangbin's ‘A Calf Born In Winter’ on his 2013 Late Night Tales compilation. Subsequently signed to Late Night Tales offshoot Night Time Stories, ‘A Calf Born In Winter’ was released as a single in May 2014, four-track EP ‘The Infamous Bill’ followed in October, with covers EP ‘History Of Flight’ on Record Store Day 2015. Their debut album ‘The Universe Smiles Upon You’ was released in November 2015 to widespread acclaim. 2016 is set to be an important year for the band and their rising profile with a series of international live dates planned including Festivals in the UK, Europe, and the US, SXSW, and out on the road this May with Father John Misty supporting on his UK and European tour.

Khruangbin - People Everywhere (Still Alive) [12" Extended Version]

This mix was originally sent to us titled 'Hello Darkness'. It runs a course along such a theme. Dj TLR is a bit of an enigma behind the scenes as far as the world of Creme Organization goes. In recent months we have had the pleasure of chatting to Jeroen who offered us an insight into the early days the hague and beyond which you can read HERE. In all honesty we were thrilled when he offered to deliver us a mix, the result is pretty special too as he delves through depths of early jungle and hardcore, with a twist.

In 2011 Brian d'Souza released his first EP on Glasgow based record label Huntleys & Palmers, this was to be the debut of Auntie Flo. Some five years later his musical progression has evolved substantially. Last year saw him release the critically acclaimed 'Theory Of Flo' accompanied by a brand new live show. His sounds sees him dabble between the crossovers of world music, dance and balearic obscurity. He captures a sun kissed sound which you would certainly not associate with the bleak and rainy forecast which so often swamps Glasgow. He steps up to deliver us over an hour of percussion, exclusives, earthly samples and beyond: a real treat.

There are very few artists who can be said to have seen the lifespan of house music in its entirety. Born in Chicago, 1967, Boo Williams is arguably one of the most influential figures in club music: past, present and future. Alongside the likes of Glenn Underground he has become one of the definitive figures of the Chicago sound and has released records on legendary labels such as Relief Records, Moods & Grooves, Rush Hour and far too many others to name. This summer he will play at Odyssia Festival in Greece. We are honoured to be able to welcome him on to the site as part of our Ransom Note Mix series.

Expect the unexpected. That's the philosophy Rotterdam-based DJ mad miran promotes in her DJ sets. A regular on the Dutch capital's mainstay Red Light Radio and a face behind the counter at the infamous Clone record shop, Miran has fast become one of the country's most promising DJs. 

Although she only played her first DJ set in a club a couple of years ago, she's already landed a residency at Trouw successor De School and become part of the Strange Sounds From Beyond family, seeing her name spread like wildfire and lead to a string of gigs across Europe.

We invited her to dive into her record bag for us and the result is 80 minutes of leftfield electro, raw breaks and introspective electronica. Enter into the crazy world of mad miran...

mad miran: The 'Wednesday Alternative' Mix

Amsterdam has been graced with a fearsome array of fabulous selectors and disc jockeys in recent times, the city is abuzz with experimental music and talent. 

Orpheu The Wizard has been a pivotal figure in the development of the scene, crucially helping to nurture new faces through his key role as a co founder of Redlight radio - a distinctive platform which has acted as a gateway and an open door to a new wave of music, producers and dj's. 

His own background is well versed, he's earnt his stripes and played the long game building a respectable array of musical knowledge and selective talent which he uses to entice and delight crowds across Europe and beyond. Eclectic, far reaching and multi purpose - his sets often run wild across a sprawling spectrum of sound. 

This year he will play at Love International festival, an appearance which should not be missed.

Orpheu The Wizard: The Ransom Note Mix

Step back, this is a big one. 

Across the past couple of decades there have been very few who can attest as much influence as that of Joakim, a singular producer who has been charted as an influential figure by many of the leading producers and disc jockeys in the present.

The French outsider has amassed a notorious reputation for his eclectic style as a disc jockey and producer having released music on the likes of Versatile, Kitsuné Music, Life And Death, Crosstown Rebels and beyond. As the founder behind Tigersushi Records and Crowdspacer he has been responsible for leading a new generation of talent into the dance and has played a key role in the future development of dance and electronic music. 

As an individual his own take on music is wide and vast, not one to shy away from the alternative or experimental he has done well to channel a sprawling array of style, genre and sound across his own lengthy career and in all honesty Joakim continues to surprise and intrigue with delight. 

A Dj's dj, he is a firm favourite and we welcome him as part of the series.
