Now then, what do we have here?

E-Talking is a producer with whom you might not be familiar, at least not by name. You might well be more aware of him as one half of the French duo Nummer, a prominent pair who have released a great deal of impressive music on the likes of Butter Sessions, Going Good, Peur Bleue, Fragil Music and on their own imprint. They also boast a killer live show, one of which blew the roof off a Glasgow basement when 12th Isle hosted them many years back. 

The pair have also recently launched a new label focussing on releasing abstract electronics, experimental music and balearic abstract sounds from across the globe on an imprint called Natural Selections. 

Which brings us back to the focus of todays mix, E-Talking. One half of the outfit who has also independently released music on the likes of Whities, drawing for a slightly more hard hitting approach than perhaps anticipated. There's more to come, just you watch.

Okay, okay. Quick history backstory.  Drums as a child, and through his 20's.  Turntables, and loads of vinyl before entering the digital realm.  Nick has been busy with all that noise for two and half decades.  Growing up on rock, grunge, 90's electronic, hip hop, and everything in between rounded out his senses for music, and what appealed to him.  A taste ever evolving leaving him playing house, techno, minimal, acid, downtempo, and breakbeat.  Now with over 20 years of experience you can expect great track selection, crowd reading, and flawless mixing.  This journey has seen him play in cities through Western Canada, and with larger acts from abroad including the likes of Mark Farina, Tipper, Kevin Yost, James Teej, Pezzner, Dirt Crew, Detroit Swindle, Noah Pred, Rob Paine, and many more.  

After spending many years as a key part of Left Coast Crew in Victoria BC as a DJ/Promoter, he is back In Saskatchewan where he started this journey. The new vision is to rekindle his old connections and push his promotion brand The Motive To Move (TM2) to new heights, and entertain as many party people as possible.

When considering the musical inspiration & working pallette of Drm Peopls, your mind & body literally has to take a journey to those very places that have randomly pollinated the spirit of his work.

The music is a personal embodiment of random time, place, & circumstance of existence that creates the rich fabric that assimilates into the multi cultural tapestry and experience interweaving the entire expression; it reflects the maker.

Growing up in a multi ethnic military family upbringing brought together variance in everything.
Drawing inspiration from youth skate culture where everything is an aesthetical potluck of sorts, you can feel the pull of everything from a an arty indie dance number running around some basement hip hop cut touching hands with latin jazz pulsing on the rhythm of deep house with the raw and unabashed emotion of anarcho punk; the tool bag pulls from everything because there has been many roads to build.

With Drm Peopls, there is a heavy concentration on the rythym whether it be straight forward or syncopated, it's the drum that creates the pulse and the people are the movement it follows.
