It was made using 6 drum samples and won a little competition in the infamous 'Strictly Lofi' group on facebook. I guess it wasn't lofi enough to be signed but happy that it found a great home now on this double cassette celebrating 6  1/2 years of @noorden

Since blossoming into life four years ago, Glasgow imprint @west-end-communications has steadily been amassing an impressive catalogue, releasing music from artists such as Perth Drug Legend and The Burrell Connection, and giving debuts to many others.

Returning for his second release on the label with the 'Northern Fight' EP is young producer Craig Johnston aka @djcjuk. We're very happy to be premiering 'Anditsover' - a wispy electro cut with gorgeous plucked melodies and thwacking drums. The sort of track that makes you lose all sense of time itself.

Well Being - Eclipse (GST07)

After their 1st birthday celebrations at the end of last year, 2019 will see Needs switch its attention to our planet and environment. The aim is to raise awareness of deforestation and climate change, and they kick things off with a record featuring Eris Drew, Edward, D. Tiffany and Henry Hyde. 

2018 was a big year. After partnering with UN Women on their HeForShe gender equality campaign back in March (which featured a vinyl release and London fundraiser with Peggy Gou), they went on to celebrate their birthday with a record raising awareness for mental health which showcased the production talents of DJ Normal 4, Red Axes and Hodge. 

Keep your eyes peeled for a series of events around the UK to coincide with the release. All profits donated to Cool Earth.

Australian DJ Life brings his esoteric ambiance on Finnish label, Echocentric Records after impressive string of releases on Gnork’s Blorp Label and Gestalt Records. The 4 track EP titled ‘Neural Oscillations EP’ is a dreamy escapade beginning with ‘Peia’ to the finale on ‘Abduction’. B1 track, ‘Mindreader’, has sub-electro workings with a cunning 303 acid-bassline, heady rhythm section and a celestial synth that hypnotizes a minute into the track. ‘Mindreader’ is formulated with wispy hi-hats, echoing twerps & chirps, schwifty vocal loops for a good psychedelic measure. ‘Mindreader’ is pleasurable, blissful and displays great range of depth with very sound production techniques that will leave you wanting more.

Phonica Premiere: Will Lister - Patience [OF PARADISE]

Following his solo 12" debut in November on AC Records, Armec returns with a 4-track EP on Echocentric Records.

The music on offer is rich and emotional - enter microworlds of subtle melodies, pads and sci-fi drones that ooze both melancholy and hope, and will appeal to anyone into electro, IDM and techno.

A-side is a nod to Robbie's IDM roots. Just check the expansive soaring synth-work on "Auden" and the analogue moods of "Conceptualise". The droney, murky & dystopian sci-fi soundscapes of side B offer another view into Armec's production work.
