Following on from their latest, Bobby Cazanova's excellent 'Only 1', Childsplay (@bemorechildish) hand it to the promising @polytunnelmusic, a young producer hailing from Kilkenny, Ireland, here stepping up with a much warm and fuzzy debut outing, entirely geared towards beaming zen waves and good vibes across the dance floor.

The leaves of the trees formed a canopy that stretched far across the woods, allowing for small slivers of sunlight to cascade on the floor. The intricate shadows were reminiscent of doilies, beautiful patterns flickering upon the thick grass. This was the perfect place to embark on her first trip, the surroundings were calm and quiet, it was a feast for the senses. The hands of her watch clicked loudly, she watched intensely as each second passed by. It had been almost an hour since she'd taken it. As she averted her gaze to the sky, watching the leaves above dance in unison, her body began to feel fuzzy. What adventures lay before her she could not begin to comprehend...

Straight out of Offenbach, a suburb on the fringes of Frankfurt, DJ Slyngshot and DJ Neewt run their label Yappin'. We've not heard much from the former in a while, but it turns out he's been hard at work in the studio making music under his new moniker Deesigner. A departure from his previous releases, his new EP CY-309 sees Slyngshot opt for a sludgier tripped-out approach working with deep low frequencies and acid synth lines.

In the night there was a crash and a bang, the house awoke to something mysterious and new. He walked slowly atop the landing and began to make his way one step at a time down the staircase into the unknown, what would he find? Pretty magic or troublesome strife in the midst of the midnight hour? It was all very exciting and yet tragic at the same time, perhaps one day they might write a story about this old house and the things which bumped in the night. He meandered through his home, a queer in the kitchen on the prowl for something which lay beyond the line of sight...

Evil Medvěd is a Prague based, Glaswegian musician. They have been making music and working on the evolution of a live electronic set for many years and their new album for Red for Colour Blind could be deemed the magnificent outcome of such hard work.

PREMIERE: Evil Medvěd - A Queer In The Kitchen [Red for Colour Blind]

Evil Medvěd is a Prague-based, Glasgow-born live act (self-identifying as "they/them") who began producing and playing live in 2018. Since then, they have gone on to play live alongside Sapphire Slows, MYHSA and grime producer, A.G. Working with modular, sampling, live re-sampling and have been building messy, turbulent energy into their live sets. In Scotland, they were part of the queer activist DJ duo VAJ.Power, who ran clubnights ‘FUSE’ which aimed to make bass music & 140 genres more accessible for all. 

Fictionkin is a project's debut EP that reflects morphing and proteus sound of Evil Medvěd's live sets. With constant emphasis on airy space and delicate ecosystem of individual tracks it evolves from UK bass music roots to progressive hybrid-club sound-tests. The unique and promising EP is accompanied by the tough selection of remixes by producers from Evil M's home scene (Glasgow's KLEFT and Manuka) and from contemporary Prague club crews (Hyaen and Ancestral Vision).
