After the massive positive reactions for the first release from the Bella Avgvsta series with which we left the old behind us and said hello to the new year ,we are now ready to move on with part two.
Perfectly fitting to current winter season, Daniel puts for us something really hot in the fridge.

The A-Side „Hot in the Fridge“ skips the obligatory intro and transports the listener directly into a dark prime-time techno cloud. It starts straight with a whipping nervous rhythm section that shows the way and gives direction into a dense haze of sound wherefrom the deep bass driven main theme rises to the surface and encloses you directly with its wafting sounds.
Sweet but dangerous.

„Don’t Disturb Björn“ pretends to be more chary but also and only for the blink of an eye. ....

A playful ringing innocent trickle that provide the image of safety, before it ropes you into it’s energetic swirl of sound.

And Italian band ESPERANZA - who did their debut album on Gomma in 2012 and now have been signed by LIFE & DEATH records (where they will release under their new name Dead Heat).

Gemini Brothers - Lost Babylon (2 Min Preview)

Mix Number 12 in the Sinchi & Friends series is @gemini-brothers .  
The twins from Romania are hot property at the moment, having recently signed to Skint Records and also have one of the year's must have records soon to be released on vinyl, via NightNoise.  Furthermore they were  actually one of the first major names to support Sinchi and remixed our debut track Aether Drift. So we're delighted to feature our good friends and share a peach of a mix.

1) Introduce yourself?
We are Gemini Brothers, twin brothers, Bucharest based, music lovers and record collectors. We consider ourselves two fine gentlemen wearing scarves, hats and braces.

2) How would you describe your sound?
We never thought to have a wordy name for what we play or produce. Of course we have many influences, from psychedelic to acid or from nu-disco to industrial techno. Coming as well from this part of Europe, being an old Ottoman Empire Eyalet/ Pashalik there are still plenty of oriental influences from rhythmic drums and dulcimers or byzantine vocals around the tracks feelings. We don’t see it as going only in that direction, but there is a big plus having more influences than the western people, culturally speaking.  

OK, let’s call it ‘Geminilicious’!

3) What are your plans for 2016?
First of all, for this year is very important from our new productions but of course we don’t let gigs outside our plans, there are in our main focus as well and we may say there is a big difference since last years, especially during the summer time with important festivals appearances, like our forthcoming gig at ‘Thump’ Scene from Lovebox Festival in London or ADE in the autumn, plus more and more to be announced. 
All these years we were involved more in making remixes and less originals, but 2016 will be for sure a year of original releases! There are some coming up like with SKINT Records, an EP with three originals, featuring Grammy Award winner Shahin Badar (yes, you know her from the Prodigy’s ‘Smack My B*tch Up’ back vocal) and a remix by one of our musical heroes Mr. Justin Robertson! This EP will be out during summer period! 
Now we’ve just announced to launch a new vinyl EP release on our managers label Night Noise with a track called ‘Lost Babylon’ including remixes from the almighty In Flagranti, Moscoman and Daniel Kyo!
There will be at least two appearances in some really great compilations and there are some remixes in cue, so be ready to hear more from us!

The flickering light illuminated the forecourt of the airport mall. On the other side of the glass window the engines of flying machines whirred as they prepared to jetset towards destinations unknown. Sunnier climates awaited those who would travel but the hologram would remain a part of this place of departure for as long as days would allow: observed by travellers the world over, it was simply a beam of light in a dim space. Flash, flash, flash.
It is with great pleasure that we are able to introduce to you the first record from the 12th Isle crew: Glasgow upstarts with knowledge which far surpasses our own. For years they have been running parties in the basements of dive bars and beyond, spreading weird and wonderful music with the masses. This year sees them launch their label.

Amsterdam based record label Night Noise moves into the vinyl market and kicks things off in style with this release from the Rumanian Gemini Brothers duo. The titletrack Lost Babylon is backed with three delightful remixes from In Flagranti, Daniel Kyo and Moscoman, with whom we shared the decks few days ago in London. The Disco Halal headhoncho provides here a 11 minutes long epic dreamy synthetic rework, lovely ! Out in two weeks

The crowds gathered on the shore. There were people of all races, nationalities, colours, creeds, ages, genders and beyond. The diversity was strong amidst the community of the island. People here did not discriminate, there was no hatred, only love. The dying embers of the fire burnt slowly by the moving tide and they gathered to watch, a community at peace, a people as one. 
That Place Records are based in Lyon, France. Over the past year they have been releasing music alongside a bold blue and white visual representation which has left us intrigued. Previous releases have featured the likes of MZKBX, Visitors For Reworks, House Mannequin and Juliano. The latest release comes from VFR who delivers three choice techno cuts with a melancholic drive which left us enchanted.

The glittering stones lined the path forwards. On diamond lane everything was beautifully fluorescent, they shimmered in the pale moonlight. As they strolled the charismatic tones of the sky whirred above their heads. They were in paradise and the diamonds were watching from beneath their feet. It was glorious. 
Here is an exclusive premiere from the Dutch maestro Tom Trago. He has produced four tracks for Red Bull Studios in Paris which see him dabble across tones of Detroit inspired house and more.

Two of the longest running residents for the legendary We Love parties at Space, Ibiza – Bradberry of PBR Streetgang and Ian Blevins – come together for a debut joint release on LA’s Culprit imprint.

United by their Ibiza adventures and roots from the Leeds dance scene, Bradberry and Blevins create a concoction of old school House sounds and a dash of modern electronic disco. Bradberry and Blevins are no strangers to Culprit. PBR’s remix of Lula Circus was one of the label’s success stories of 2014, and Blevins’ ‘10 Miles’ was a standout on Culprit’s ‘Above The City’ compilation in 2013. Bradberry and Blevins premiere the title track - a moody, emotionally charged melodic hook, augmented with subtle acid touches and a memorable bass line riff that culminates into a satisfying crescendo.

The Gemini Brothers have been crafting a singular disco sound for the last three years now. Made up of sibling production duo Ionut and Razvan they have a rugged, machine made disco style that is physical and cosmic and has previously dropped on Bearfunk, ISM Records and Glenview Records, often with support from the likes of Faze Action and Andrew Weatherall.
Up first is their expertly spangled, churning dark disco chugger ‘Lost Babylon.’ It has tough arps, spitting cosmic sounds and spiralling synths that take you ever higher as the macho but slow groove rolls on with serious weight. It’s a real crowd shocker that will make a big impact in any set.

Desert Hearts Black welcomes yet another legendary act into its fold today: Township Rebellion, who’ve graced the label with a heady new single titled ‘Mosaik.’ A secret set weapon for quite some time now, “Mosaik” is a cinematic addition to the duo’s discography—outfitted with a roaring, brass-centric hook and spacey synth harmonies surrounding it. A strong bassline and percussion section add fervor to the finished product.

The trek through the shadows doesn’t end with Township Rebellion’s original work. Four artists have been brought on for remix duties, the first being mau5trap and Yoshitoshi champion Rinzen, who beefed up the low end and tempo whilst creating even more tension during his breakdown. Desert Hearts Black owners Marbs and Evan Casey take the stage next, taking a minimal approach with their rendition of the original for a piece fit for sunrise. Finally, up-and-comer Victor Pilava enters from the left field with a slowed down, mystical interpretation. Much like its name, ‘Mosaik’ as a whole is a colorful, multifaceted collection of tracks.

Township Rebellion have maintained a stronghold over the melodic techno world through the year, clocking in milestone releases. Most recently, they made their debut on the RÜFÜS DU SOL-led imprint Rose Avenue with their dynamic ‘2020’ EP—inspired by current events. They also joined award-winning New York Times journalist Ian Urbina during the summer for for Storming The Thunder—inspired by Interpol’s hunt for the world’s most wanted poaching ship. These solo collections bookended various remixes and original tracks appearing on their regular home of Stil Vor Talent.

“Mosaik” is the penultimate release for Desert Hearts Black in 2020, closing out a memorable second year for the subsidiary label. They have continued to draw in A-list talent for their repertoire, with Dance Spirit, Rinzen, David Scuba, Vanita, and Anakim making their debuts—not to mention, Township Rebellion. After taking an otherwise tumultuous year in stride, fans can expect continued quality as Desert Hearts Black enters into the new year.
