Long running Manchester and Berlin based party 'Lost Control, ’' who hold a NTS residency under the same name run by Black Eyes, bring us the new label Lost Control 2097. 
 
Kicking things off with the ‘Come on Let’s Get It’ EP from Cygnus. Label Boss Matthew Jesus says - “The label itself is our new extension of the portal from the 7th dimension. Specialising in plasma house, sub-aquatic electro and cyber techno all brought back from the year 2097. The first EP is from Texan electro legend Cygnus. We don't need to explain how good he is. We just hope you enjoy the ride of cyber soul at its deadliest. There's even a tribute track to the city of Manchester where Lost Control was born. The vinyl colour is inspired by the acid blood of the xenomorphs from the Alien movies, meaning it's translucent fluorescent yellow.”

The record is mastered by Dutch synth genius Rude 66 and will be released on both Physical and Digital formats.

It was time to recall everything he thought he'd known about his reality, every creative association and delusion was a mystery and not one worth resolving. Instead he would now choose to lose himself in the darkness of the night, wandering between the trees, amidst their towering might and wise presence. He found himself at home in the forest, it was here in which his imagination could run wild and free without the constraints of others. A total recall into isolation and the abyss. 

Lord Of The Isles has announced the release of a stunning new collection of tracks on his own recently launched new imprint, Dusk Delay. The record features long form ambient excursions which leave the listener lost in a magical place. This track "Recall" is a favourite.

PREMIERE: Lord Of The Isles - Recall [Dusk Delay]

The sun gradually dawns on a vast metropolis, and within minutes the city comes alive. The bustling sound of traffic floods the streets, vendors on market stalls begin to sell and barter — some are pushier than others. In the ocean of people going about their morning, on one of the mains strips, a yellow rickshaw appears, driving against the flow of the crowd. In the back is a teenage boy, wide eyed, caught up in the wonder of the beautiful chaos. He looks down at his grubby palm and starts counting coins. When he finishes, he cracks a smile and puts them back in his pocket.

As the rickshaw pulls up outside a closed down restaurant, the boy shouts ‘thanks!’, runs off without paying, and slips into a derelict side street. He peers around the corner to check on the driver… he’s not chasing him, instead the driver looks hopeless and frustrated, before admitting defeat and driving off. The boy bursts into laughter and continues to walk down the side street and into the main market, he is spoilt for choice on what to spend his newly ‘earnt’ money on.

Brixton’s Dream Diary label continue their new Singles Club series with an instalment from World Unknown and No Speakers alumni Peter Rocket; "a bubbling force of nature who has an imagination that travels at escape velocity from the rigid confines of modern electronic music". 'Chuffed' immediately takes on a life of its own, led by the commanding yet joyous horns, and clever percussive breakdowns that defy convention and time signature. The layers as a whole culminate into pure energy and buzz - sound bites breath disruption and chaos into the track, whilst the horns and driving bass provide the stability to counteract it. The result is a thoroughly enjoyable tightrope walk that sets you free whilst keeping you on your toes.

He watched with careful attention, gazing out across the room and taking in those who wandered and meandered between each hallway. His third eye saw them all, it saw everything whether he chose for it or not. He could tell a thousand stories of precious, private moments thought not to be seen. He saw the secrets, the crimes, the actions, the glances and the stories behind the scenes. It was his gift yet at times it drove him crazy as he watched the world spin recklessly in full circle. 

Joey Anderson features on a new compilation from Release Sustain who have drafted in the big guns as part of their Conclave series. The record also features music from the likes of Lord of the Isles, Amir Alexander and more. This track features the notorious, moody, melancholy edge of a producer who never fails to disappoint, Joey Anderson.

Dam Swindle's Maarten Smeets, aka Wanderist, launches his Transient Nature imprint this April with four-track EP 'Think Potential' from Dukwa.
Transient Nature is a label dedicated to the world of machine funk with a sonic aesthetic of off-kilter techno and electro, and the first release sees Dukwa deliver an EP as varied as it is powerful. Transient Nature has a busy 2021 planned with releases from Detroit's Scan7, Black Cadmium and Maarten's solo project: Wanderist. The 'Think Potential' EP is deeply rooted in gritty electronics and illustrates the producer's love for hardware and vintage techniques - three of the tracks are hardware jams recorded straight to tape.

The driving Rhodes licks and fluttering percussion on 'Who Cares' gets the EP rolling before the distorted electronica and stabbing 303s fuse harmoniously on 'High Position'. Up next, 'It's U' delivers an old-school tinged electro number with its slamming drums, robotic vocals and squeaking acid lines. The EP closer, 'Eye2eye' sees Dukwa moving deeper into the electronica territory with industrial drums and dreamy piano lines working together with mesmerising effect.

With recent output ranging from Detroit house inspired MPC-driven tracks to more conceptual electronic work, Dukwa's soulful yet dynamic releases for the likes of Numbers, Don't Be Afraid and his eponymous imprint have won a wide range of support as well as picking up a coveted 'Hottest Record in The World' from the BBC's Annie Mac.
