Cabezas’ new EP “Raya” is a distillation of the conversations that have shaped him over the last decade. From the Danceteria-ready sheen of “Madonna” to the nocturnal-italo pulse of “Sergio”, Cabezas covers a wide swath of sonic ground, starting in almost-familiar places and spiraling out into the unknown. 

This is Cabezas’ second EP, following up his 2018 Börft Records release Mi Calle. 

Born in Chile and living in Sweden, Patricio Cabezas is a multi-talented musician/producer. After years as a touring bass player, he re-com- mitted himself to electronic music, trading his pickups for a circuit board in search of the boundaries of sound. 

Since childhood Cabezas has thrown himself into the in-between. With a life of hybrid timezones, cultures and identities, his approach to music is similarly liminal. Driven by discovery and experimentation, Cabezas hybridizes genres, themes and instrumentation to create electronic music that lives on the edge, built for the mains, headphones and everywhere in between.

The rising Italian A-Tweed debuts in Playground Records with a delightful Ep powered by  mother nature. From volcanic lava to poisonous frogs in the jungle, he gives us a very  complete package of 4 original mixes to which are added 2 high quality remixes from the Frente Bolivarista's head-honcho Pigmalião and the almighty Fabrizio Mammarella.
The trip begins with 'Dendrobates Tinctorius'. Psychedelic percussions and hypnotic humid  rainforest. The sublow pushes us to go further. The darkness surrounds us, some voices  appear in the distance. The coven has begun.
Everything continues with 'Phnom Penh Khave' and his acid modulations. A frenetic  rhythm floods the track and plays with lysergic voices which converts the ride into a  madness. We're here to dance!
The 3rd track in this release is 'OTO0OTO' a.k.a. 'Fake Robot Cumbia'. The tropical flavor  can be smelled it in the air. Some whistles, claps and güiros accompany the main synth flow.  The temperature rises. Weird sounds invade our mind. Now we are all lost in the Fandango.
The last original in this Ep is 'Ropy Pahoehoe Flows'. The kick and the bass melt into an  abrasive modulation like lava in the rocks of an ancient volcano. The things get deep but  groovy. Time to burn.
The first remix in this launch comes from the hand of the Brazilian Pigmalião who  converts 'Phnom Penh Khave' into a powerful and mysterious break. Full of  crazy resonances and clatters this masterpiece invites us to dive deep into a giant bassline  and a very intense groove.
To end this incredible journey we caught up with Fabrizio Mammarella delivering his own  version of 'Ropy Pahoehoe Flows'. An epic ode that mixes outer space synths with organic  percussion. Aborigines fighting with aliens in the middle of the jungle. A narcotic mantra for  lost souls

After two stellar Split EPs with Das Komplex, Brazilian sound wizard ROTCIV  (@rotciv) delivers his first Solo EP on Luv Shack Records (@luvshackrecords). With 4 intricate original cuts and a Massimiliano Pagliara remix, the Elev8tion EP is a bold testament to modern EBM.

The titular track sets the stage with a firework of dramatic synths, brash elektro beats and a fluttering acid line, finding a perfect balance between dancefloor appeal and leftfield quirkiness.

Italian maestro Massimiliano Pagliara remixes "Elev8tion" in a straightforward fashion, opting for a percussion heavy drummachine pattern, a driving bassline and additional synth melodies, yet incorporating the original 303 to great effect.

On "Unbelievable", ROTCIV lays out a complex carpet of alternating arpeggios, heavily automated synth melodies and an array of weird vocal snippets, atop a minimalistic electronic drum track.

"Muquifo", which literally translates to flophouse or dump (or shack?), is a slow burning breakbeat track with eerie strings and tripped out acid melodics, making it a hot contender for future afterhours.

"The Morning After" is a similarly low slung track, with a broken beat and a distinct industrial flair, yet the synth melodies strike a more hopeful chord and have an almost cinematic feel to them.

New Swiss label Rababoo is proud to present his first release: Marcel de Sie! Oscillating between melodic industrial and shaky psychedelic music, Mr. de Sie overcomes his first 3 tracks with a static approach of electronic low drifts – in that sense, we decided to call it a soundtrack “to schuss'', in dedication to all our ski friends from here and there. The first 2 tracks, “Filter Seq'' and “Mezzo FM'' pitch the tone of the EP and are built as explorations of dance floor narratives, with the purpose to generate a wave state of mind through a real sound experience. While the first track is a relentless technoïd filter-driven smasher which immediately bleeps your mind and floods it with sound, the second track unleashes a cascade of sounds that brings any lost hiker back on track and drives him into a shamanic waltz in the mountains. 

The title track “Poetic Frame” is a direct response to these soundscapes, where howling, disturbing synths are at times chimera that fractures the pattern and calls you back to reality.

For his 1st release, Marcel de Sie is joined by Greek producer Anatolian Weapons (Dark Entries) and Belgian’s Victor de Roo (Stroom) for the remixes. Each one delivers a proper interpretation of the 3rd track of the EP “Poetic Frame”. While Anatolian Weapons explores a tribal trance sonic journey that can drive a Dervish dancer crazy, De Roo makes use of his distinguished style and creates the most abstracted version of this track. Not scared to apply kind of a trap snare ratcheting, he brings us to a space urban take.

Overhead the red lights swelled, picking dancers out of the darkness for just a moment before moving on to capture the next. It was the only light that permeated the room, reflecting off the sweaty bodies oscillating below, as they moved as one with the heavy rhythms pulsing out of the speakers. In the dark they lost all inhibitions, in the dark they were free...

Following releases from Delicate Features and Raphael Schön, Freeride Millenium co-founder Jorkes takes control of the next with a five tracker titled 'Dancer In The Dark', backed up by two remixes from Younger Than Me and Curses. His first outing on the label since his acclaimed Wet Dreams EP last winter, the three originals showcase Jorkes deftness at reinterpreting influences like synth, disco and techno, to craft his own off-kilter take on sleazy electronics.
