We are delighted to present our next release by Nico Nightingale well known as Neud Photo. Nico has released music in labels as Frigio Records, Soil Records, Fil-Lex Records, Mysidian and Kraftjerkz to name a few. The Bone Zone is a bomb! four tracks full of electro, new beat and acid mixed in his own style of rave music with cut up vocals, pulsating acid basslines and hypnotic synths layers, you immediately will feel dancing in a timeless rave. With remixes from Anatolian Weapons, Vltra Delta Drive and Invalid User.

'Aggelos first approached Lurid Music with the idea for this project a few months ago. We agreed on one condition, that all proceeds be donated to refugee causes, like we did with his Black Sea EP which supported the Syrian refugee crisis. When Russia invaded Ukraine, we decided our focus had to be helping the Ukrainian refugees who were forced to leave their homes in search of safe havens abroad.

We discussed this with most contributors to the project and the consensus was that donations should strictly go to humanitarian groups and not any armament funds. There were also some thoughts about helping conflict-affected peoples in other parts of the world but we decided it was too much to tackle for a relatively small project like this one.

Therefore, donations stemming from the sales of this release will be distributed to the following humanitarian groups currently active in Ukraine or neighboring countries welcoming refugees:

The artwork was provided by Bill Brown, a Maryland native who lives and works in Ukraine. When the war started, he made his way safely to Germany via Poland. This illustration is an homage to Maria Prymachenko’s “May That Nuclear War be Cursed!”, which also inspired the title of this release. He hadn't slept for days, though it felt more like weeks. Life had become a constant waking dream, observed through bleary heavy lidded eyes. Nothing seemed to help, he'd tried every method he could but pills, drugs and counting sheep had no effect. Days were nights and nights were days, a cycle he believed could no longer be broken. A constant feeling of being barely alive... 

Power Station boss Kris Baha lands on Emotional Especial for his debut 12" after dropping two remixes for previous label releases from Sfire and Red Axes. The producer and DJ, known for his heady club take on EBM, post-punk and EBM, has previously put out records with Bahnsteig 23, Pinkman and CockTail d'Amore, the latter imprint being the home for his debut album Palais at the end of the last year. 'Barely Alive' is a return to Kris' band roots and a step away from the club ready tracks he's become known for. Taking on remix duties are Especial regular Timothy Fairplay, the legendary Das Ding and Knekelhuis affiliate Job Sifre who provides an infectious remix that calls on his influences in electro and new wave.

Following up to his studio companion Trenton Chase’s latest LP ‘Planar Array’ released earlier in 2020, half of Manie Sans Délire June turns up on Artificial Dance with his anticipated new mini-album, ‘Horizons’. True to the signature synth-splattered sound of his and his duo, June’s newest wave-imbued manifesto has us swimming amidst an organized chaos of roughly extruded keyboard wizardry, punk-minded drum programming and a retro-futuristic headspace.

Scanning out the gap between Italo, new wave, EBM and new beat, ‘Horizons’ shifts seamlessly from forward-moving, arpeggio-laden circuitry (‘JW’, ‘Infinity Room') to hi-intensity body music (’New Horizons’), through ambientoid spaced-out sonic explorations (‘Uncharted Territories’) and quirky downtempo chuggers (‘Reverie’, ‘Psychic Process’). A kaleidoscope of rhythmic tricks and shape-shifting mirages, June’s scope-expanding six-track voyage vows to play mind games with its listener till all lights have gone off.

Sweet Apocalyse could have been the name of this new opus by the Israeli producer Jack Carel. With Turn It Up, Jack Carel decides to punch the current crisis mood in the face. With its very deep and loud ambient sounds, the new EP of this very mysterious producer is a love declaration to the act of faith, patience, hope, and the anticipation of a coming revolution. 
Turn It Up is the musical proof that strength can and must be found in darkness. To be stronger, one must fall; to find, one must lose; to rebuild, one must deconstruct. 

Rougher and more disconcerting than what Jack Carel used to produce, Turn It Up is the flag of a new era, a new vision, after 20 years producing music. “I'm always trying to make the next track different,” he explains. “This EP is me trying to bring a trippy, groovy, rough, and raw journey to this perspective with heavy drums and psychedelic energy.”

Born in 1980, Jackov Carel aka Jack Carel, grew up in Tel Aviv, during the electronic revolution of the mid-90s. Heavily influenced by bands like The Chemical Brothers and techno artists such as Jeff Mills, Sven Vath or Dave Clarke, he started creating his own unique music, sounds and rhythms in 2002. Architect by profession and influenced by movies, he makes music that has no compromises, combining techno, dark breaks, electronica, psychedelia, and with his new EP, Turn It Up, rock, trip hop, industrial and EBM energy.
