A message from @oramicspl: "There is a humanitarian crisis at the Polish-Belarusian border. Since early August hundreds of people seeking international protection, coming from the Middle East, South Asia, and northern and middle Africa are crossing the external European Union border. Polish border troops are facilitating a process which is both nationally and internationally recognized as illegal, the so-called pushbacks. This brutal practice pushes the refugees from Polish territory back under the gunpoint of Belarusian border patrol who then use the same tactic and push the people back onto the Polish side. Consequently, the exhausted migrants are repeatedly chased away from one side to the other. Polish border patrol keeps ignoring the refugees’ repeated declarations telling them that they want to seek international protection in Poland. It breaches the law, according to which the border patrol should accept the application for protection and start adequate procedures and not keep these people outdoors for weeks. The temperatures in Eastern Poland are dropping day by day, which will cause more deaths by hypothermia, starvation, and exhaustion. On September 19 Polish border troops found the bodies of three people who had died of hypothermia. On the same day, the Belarusian authorities informed about the death of a woman who died in the company of her three children. On September 24 Polish authorities informed about another death, of a man from Iraq.

Polish organizations supporting foreigners have been involved in aiding the people on the border from the very beginning of the current crisis. They were communicating with them over loudspeakers while the border troops were not allowing for any humanitarian or medical aid to reach the refugees, denying them even food or freshwater. On September 3 the Polish government decided to implement a state of emergency in the cross-border areas, which has not been done since 1981 when martial law was introduced in Poland. What it means in practice is a drastic clampdown on the aid organizations and their access to the cross-border areas as well as fewer journalists who could document the situation on-site. The people on the border have been left without any help from the outside. No one controls the actions of the authorities anymore.

The situation at the Polish border breaks our hearts. We strongly disagree with the racist politics of the Polish government which leads to the deaths of innocent people, who are seeking refuge and a chance for a better life in the European Union. As Oramics, we want to support Fundacja Ocalenie (Rescue Foundation) who has been helping the migrants on the front line since day one and they facilitate easier access to a new life in an unknown country.

We have collected music from Polish and international artists and all the proceeds from the sales of the tracks will be given to Rescue Foundation.

The weather was changing, a sombre autumnal breeze drifted softly upon the morning. It sent a small shiver up his spine as he wandered through the park on his way to the day ahead, crunchy leaves crackled underfoot as he walked purposefully forward. Only a few months ago he had been hear, dancing in the warm rays of the sunshine and the blue sky ambience. Now this subtle shift was enough to ensure that his mood was more pensive, thoughtful and reflective on what might come next as the darker months loomed near. 

Eversines is set to feature on a new split EP on Lonely Planets Rec alongside Caim. It's a stellar release which is as welcome in the headphones as it will be on warm dancefloors in cold months. This one comes highly recommended.

On the Polish-Belarusian border there is a humanitarian crisis unfolding. For the last few months hundreds of refugees have come from the Middle East, South Asia, and northern and middle Africa to seek international protection, but Polish troops and Belarusian border patrol are chasing them from one side to the other, breaching the law and resulting in the deaths of several people. 

In response to this urgent situation, Polish collective Oramics have rallied together Polish and international artists including the likes of Octo Octa, Loraine James, Casiopepe, Avtomat and Liar for a compilation to raise money for Rescue Foundation, who have been helping the migrants on the frontline since day one, and help to facilitate easier access to a new life in an unknown country.

This track was created by Avtomat especially for the compilation. Its lyrics reference the "Our father" prayer ("our daily bread") and the religious hypocrisy of the Polish government, who are ostentatiously Catholic, but fail to help starving and freezing people on the border and even actively bar anyone from helping them, engaging in illegal pushbacks.

Premiere: Avtomat - Our Daily Dread [Oramics]

Focus is a funny thing. How I don’t have it all day, how it’s all I have at night. How when you stare at a field of sunflowers you can either choose to zoom into the sinuous details of a breathing petal, or you can adjust your gaze to notice the swarm of bees pollinating the fruits of earth. Subtle in their movements and blurred to your eye, their interactions are alive with virtuosity, a family of caretakers ruminating before the dusk sky.

Berlin-based producer and DJ Massimiliano Pagliara offers us the undeniable sentiments and sounds of summer in his latest infectious dance track 'Midsummer's Dreams' released via Oddysee. The acid-house number boasts phasing and whirling synths that break out into a high-energy house beat with a pounding kickdrum to match. Further along the track we are graced with a jazz piano melody and digi-flute, all working together against the acid bass to transport us straight onto summer dancefloors; feet in the sand and arms over friends. 

In the first 18 months since its inception, Oddysee has already worked with a fantastic array of artists on their event series including Ciel, Fantastic Man, Midland and Lena Willikens amongst others. Come Mid-November they will launch their label with a first vinyl and digital sampler with 100% of vinyl proceeds being donated to supporting First Nations people across the globe via the Sinchi Foundation.

For this inaugural release the french label BFDM introduces two young promising producers aka The Pilotwings. Agorespace is an excursion, a trip where dark and killer drums meet with some soft melodies and primitive percussion.

“Trance Beats” is a wonky house track made up of hip-hop/jungle breaks and synthetic animal sounds, a powerful combination of tribal rhythm and creepy synths. On the same side comes “Cavernes Magiques”, a modern electronic tune where raw 707 jams gives way to Trippy dance pads, 90’s influences. On the other side a strong techno track contrasted with bright synths called “Cours-la-Ville”, a dark and long exploration.
