Meet the artist behind the music in this case Nugi    Who is your hero? Being born in a post-heroic society, this question is quite hard to answer! I'm looking up to many great musicians and artists that inspire me, and people that walk their own path and do the things they love. Could also be someone picking up someone else's trash from the floor.  If you could live anywhere, where would it be? I just moved to a little community space in the mountains, far away from noise and light polution. This is pretty much where I want to be :) ok, a beach would be awesome here!  What was your favorite school subject? Art! Loved it so much that I found a way to make it useful for others too. I've been working as a graphic designer ever since ;)

Nuno Dos Santos’ Something Happening Somewhere shares its first release of 2019, as the label welcomes the recently unknown entity Joannes to the family. A powerful drum machine driven bundle that provides the soundtrack for this personal journey from Joannes, including remixes by Nadia Struiwigh and Melatonin Man.

Our weapon of choice comes courtesy of Melatonin Man aka Tammo Hesselink. As a resident of De School and Nous’Klaer Audio, Melatonin Man takes on the EP’s title track and strips Joannes’ effort into a down-tempo electro affair with chugging rhythms and tribal accents.

Premiere: Joannes - Got Needs (Melatonin Man Remix) [Something Happening Somewhere]

On their second release of the year, La Dame Noir welcome Tel Aviv's finest: Eliezer. 

The EP opens with Bauhaus, an indie anthem led by a mad vocal from prolific maestro, Curses. A hit in the making that bears the hallmarks of cold wave.

Two clubs-ready originals follow: "White Snow" and "Post Love" are full of overdriven guitars, chugging dancefloor-driven grooves, understated female vocals, and indie-indebted melodies. 

The 6 tracker ends with 3 strongs remixes straight out of Tel Aviv with Middle Sky Boom, Niv Ast and Uriah. The Israeli electronic scene has been on fire for more than a minute now and La Dame Noir is delighted to continue pushing that sound and scene forward.

Bauhaus ft. Curses (Middle Sky Boom Remix)

@WonderStories 34 comes courtesy of Alex Aquayo (@AlexTork), a young producer from a small town in Mexico who’s currently living in Vancouver. Alex has an uncanny knack for melody, which is evident in his three original tracks on the EP. Stylistically, he hints towards notes of Italo, New Wave, Techno, and House.

On remix duty is @Craig-Bratley, an Englishman you’re probably already familiar with, who hypes up the lead track Geometry into an Italo stomper.

And now they get together under the wing of Mexican label Rumba Bisnes who launching its fifth release "Ivacello". Listen remix by Mijo, incredibly pleasant arpeggio-odyssey through the space of synths. The vibes on this one are heavy, invoking melancholy and emotions of estrangement.
