"St. Petersburg based musicians Andrey Kinly, Anton Berezin and Grigory Babak have managed an independent electronic music VA named Hand to Hand to support the human rights organizations: Mediazona (an independent media platform focused on the judiciary, law enforcement and penal system in Russia founded by Pussy Riot members Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova) and OVD-Info (an independent human rights media project aimed at combating political persecution.

The VA participants are: Juan MacLean, Benedikt Frey, Borusiade, The Golden Filter, Antoni Maiovvi, Timothy Clerkin, Roe Deers, Sophie Du Palais, Local Suicide, Wolfstream, Panorama Channel, A-Tweed, BGDN, Guillaume Léglise, Inatist, FLVN, Jack Carel, Niko Noland, Tokma, St. Theodore, Anton Berezin, Kolomensky, Anatolian Weapons.

Five Rituals  - Decaying Ground (Reshaped VIP)

The electrical currents buzzed and whizzed between fizzing, radiant technicolour wires. The room was illuminated by flickering and flashing lights - each manipulated by a series of sequential circuits which sent dazzling arrays of energy between all four corners of the room. Stood in the midst of all this he watched as the wild colours darted and danced between the walls as if they were trying to escape. It was fascinating, watching as the shadows were banished and beaten away by the bright... 

Hiver is set to release a new EP on the Italian record label Polifonic, an imprint tied to the celebrated festival which takes place in Milan. Hiver has been prominent as of late, releasing some of the most innovative in pensive, provocative techno - often drawing on the emotional sensibilities of the genre as much as the hard and heavy. This EP is perhaps his best to date and follows recent outings on Fides and Sungate.

"Beatrice Dahl’s Jungle Fever” is taken from "Apolithoma" by Veslemes (aka Felizol) (Optimo Music, Byrd Out, Macadam Mambo) and marks the 30th release on Invisible Inc. Spread over two discs, the album was inspired by (and feels like a soundtrack to) the dystopian literary works of JG Ballard. On board for the trip are an assortment of guest collaborators and performers and the result has been described as having “a lot of depth" and "one of the best releases of the year so far.

Each day, just before the warm hues of dusk melted across the sky, he rose from his slumber to take to the mountains. The fresh morning air opened his lungs, juddering him from the haze that controlled these waking moments. Day by day he changed his path, hoping to discover something he'd never seen before; that was what got him out of bed every morning.

Born in the medieval city of Fribourg, Switzerland, Rababoo is a new record label helmed by friends Emmanuel Küng aka OneFootStep & Nicola Marthaler aka Oase. For their first outing, they've invited former local producer Marcel de Sie—one half of new wave and chanson duo, Reymour—to take care of proceedings with 'UMA', his debut EP under this alias. Made up of three original tracks, complete with remixes from Dark Entries alumni Anatolian Weapons and Stroom affiliate Victor De Roo, the release draws from industrial, techno, minimal synth and coldwave, exploring different dance floor narratives.

It is with this vulnerability in mind that Amselcom has produced this EP, each track chosen for it's ability to reach those who look to reject this new way of life and be a part of a more meaningful evolution through our biological circuitry. 

Bruce Riley's cover artwork closely represents this organic network that links us all together. In a world where biology is being replaced with technology at a quickening rate, the hope is that this collection will remind us of our humanity and guide us back to using the same cellular social structures of our ancestors.

"Insane Dances" is a brand new sub-label from Partyfine, run by Yuksek and Get A Room!, which will deal in darker, more off-beat sounds of a post-disco orientation. It kicks off with an excellent and agenda setting EP from the Get A Room! duo. Say the pair on the new label, “We like a lot of different things musically speaking, and we do not want to be limited to a specific style like too many labels today, so we’re sure we’re going to be a little confusing. With Insane Dances we are asking our audience to be more open and wide with their tastes.” As such expect everything from funny French nuggets to New York noise, disco to No Wave legacies.
Parisian pair Jeff Lasson and Aurélien Haas have built a hedonistic galaxy based on carefully selected edits and irresistibly leftfield mixes. They bring their playful and left of centre style to this new release which features a tropical techno anthem and
percussive DJ tool. Excellent opener ‘Ecuador’ is a seductive and deep number with real mystery in the melody. Strange spoken word vocals add a sense of paranoia to the crisp, popping drums and it’s a perfectly spaced out afterparty tune filled with character. Then comes ‘The Reef’, which is an off-kilter track with wonky drums and percussion and spraying synths that are brilliantly loose. It’s colourful and dynamic and full of warmth, sure to really get the floor locked in and along for the playful ride. This is a terrific and charismatic start to the new label that will win over plenty of fans from the off.
