Bologna’s Random Numbers unveils the ‘You Are Dreaming! (Remixes) of La Serpiente this June, featuring Elena Colombi, BXP, Big Hands, Front de Cadeaux and Wang Inc. on remix duties.

The Italian Random Numbers imprint has become synonymous with boundary breaking, left of centre sounds since 2014, launched by BXP and White Raven who regularly feature on the label, it also showcases a wide variety of experimental Italian artists and others beyond across the globe. Often embracing the resurgence of the cassette format as well as vinyl and digital. Here the label shines a light on Amsterdam via Milano artist La Serpiente aka Marco Segato who makes a welcome return to the label and has also featured his mystical, post-industrial leaning works on the likes of brokntoys, XCPT, Dionysian Mysteries and Sons Of Traders among others.

Opening this remix package of ‘You Are Dreaming!’ is the acid-laced, slowly unfurling psychedelic original, followed by Front De Cadeaux’ percussive focused rework.

Label co-founder BXP then opens the B-Side, turning in a mind-altering interpretation fuelled by modulating synth whirrs, shuffled drums and bumpy bass hits. 

The ‘Big Hands Remix’ then ups the tempo, embracing a more off-kilter Techno feel employing the originals hypnotic chimes with skippy drums and fluttering resonant licks before Elena Colombi induces a dreamy, trance like state via fluttering bells, haunting voices and elongated bass drones. 

Lastly as a digital bonus, Wang Inc. turns in the final remix, a fourteen minute tribal-tinged journey through organic rhythms, oscillating synth lines and fragments of the original composition.

The Leeds based producer has been a stalwart of the UK scene for some time, notably as resident at Manchester’s seminal Body Horror night, so we are over the moon the have snared his newest offerings for you. Bleaching Agent’s inaugural release on R$N is a deep down and dirty excursion into the murky depths of the UK underground. Have a hot shower on stand by because things are about to get mucky!

Cahoots chugs into view with a low slung bass providing some much needed sleaze atop the relentlessly driving beat, setting the scene perfectly for what is to come. The surge of filth continues to build, as distorted riffs and droning vocals reach peak propulsion and we’re catapulted headlong into the discotheque!

Bleaching Agent is set to perform at the Golden Lion in Todmorden on June 29th.

PREMIERE : C.O.T - The Dreamer (Dreameremix by Troels Yuri)

Long time in the vaults, soon out in pop heaven: Andrea & Alexander, a handsomely nostalgic pop project by Andrea Noce aka Eva Geist and Alexander Arpeggio. Originally launched in 2014, revitalized in 2023, the project originated as a live set-up consisting of synthesizers, effect pedals, and analogue drum machines. From there it slowly metamorphosed into a crew of songs with raw minimal-wave grooves and romantically haunting English and German pop lyrics, loosely evoking the aura of Siouxsie Sioux, Gudrun Gut or Nadine Bal. After becoming a live mainstay in the Berlin based underground club Sameheads, they went on a tour through Lithuania and soon after several unfortunate troubles led to the break-up of the band, prompting both Andrea and Alexander to focus on their solo careers. Andrea became Eva Geist and released for various international labels, played live and formed the female duo As Longitude. Alexander founded his own label Eine Welt, took over the management of the renowned underground festival Camp Cosmic and created two musical projects with Cid Hohner, Otto and Aufgang B. Now, years later, almost becoming a Soundcloud corpse some Andrea & Alexander recordings caught the attention of the R.i.O. folks and just seconds later they offer six freshly recorded cuts of Andrea & Alexander tunes that stood the test of time as authentic, soulful pop music. “What are we going to wear for tonight’s party?” Andrea Noce asks in their song “Tiney Party”. The answer is “Loved Up” a musical celebration outfit of six sincere recorded, emotionally accorded songs, who make the dance, give verve a chance, to be there, in that moment of all moments. An album for the listener that likes to dance. In his head, on the local carpet. “Loved Up” humming Andrea & Alexander tunes.

Lá você encontra grande músicos do Brasil de diferentes regiões, colocando sua sonoridade, melodias, harmonias e ritmos que são da raiz da música brasileira, e representam toda a diversidade cultural brasileira.

Vivemos num mundo onde a colaboração entre os artistas, ampliou, digitalizou, globalizou, renovando e enriquecendo o mercado fonográfico, trazendo novas tendências sonoras.

A essência, originalidade e excelência, continuam nas mãos dos músicos, compositores, produtores e artistas que buscam sempre se aprimorar tecnicamente, que buscam sempre novas sonoridades, que empreendem e são generosos na troca de informações.

Nesse primeiro álbum intitulado “Brazilian Oil”, que será lançado dia 13 de dezembro nas plataformas digitais, O Ritmo conta com um time de altíssimo nível de músicos colaboradores como: Marcos Suzano, Zé Paulo Becker, Jam da Silva, Magrus Borges, Ricardo Imperatore, Cássio Cunha, Scott Feiner, Jovi Joviniano, Ella & The Bossa Beat, Afro2Brazilians e Rodrigo Sha. 

Temos aqui, músicos do Rio de Janeiro, Recife, Bahia, Belém do Pará e Scott Feiner, novaiorquino que virou Carioca. 

“Brazilian Oil”, tem Maculelê com samba, Capoeira com Jazz, Samba com reggae e eletrônica, Ijexá com Pop, Saculegê com Beat, Afoxé com clássico, Afro com Funk, Bossa, são muitos climas num álbum recheado de musicalidade, com uma curadoria e roupagem muito profunda de Rodrigo Sha. 

O RITMO é a casa do músico brasileiro, que busca a colaboração com o novo.
