Magit Cacoon returns to Rebellion with her second EP, History In The Makin’ . A brace of hypnotic originals supply dreamlike soundscapes, with LA-based DAVI remixing second track Aussi into a deep technoid realm. 

A slow forming construction builds around a sturdy sub-bass and unrelenting perc line for the opener, History In The Makin’ . Magit reveals, “the hypnotic, melodic repetition that concentrates itself on the vocal keeps one in the moment, in a crimson red frame of mind... warmth stemming from the beats do not take the fascination off the words sung but instead accompany them, making the track whole.” 

Second track Aussi leads with dynamic hat programming, as a calm, spoken vocal sends this already trippy cut into a something transcendent. DAVI ’s remix possess more bounce from the off, as he switches Magit’s minimalistic trip into a deep and techy groover. 

The Berlin-based producer/DJ began her electronic journey in her homeland, Tel-Aviv. She started Girl Unit in 2011 and has furnished labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Knee Deep In Sound, Variety Music, and Muna Muzik with her hypnotic sound, plus released her debut album Other Dimension in 2015 on Upon You Records.

The bus was very busy as he got aboard amidst the dead of night. He was in the outback travelling across the distant desert whilst surrounded by a million others who were all but doing the same. They each hoped that they might make it across the border and into unchartered territory which mich offer new light and life. Some had said the regime was strict and forceful but anything would surely be better than life amidst the dust and hate. The stars flickered up high above as the bus bounced and weaved between the rocky jitters of the pathway. It was going to be a very long night as the engine roared oud. 

Olderic features on a new compilation set for release by Multinotes, the imprint will showcase twelve tracks from some of their favourite artists and producers. An impressive feat with some interesting material nestled amidst.

Underspreche are back with another big floor filler of the moment – Lumina Cali. It’s a dark and dubious track which rolls out hints of acid and electro, alongside a hammering bassline, breaking down melodically and building back up with an array of intense synths and echoing hi-hats straight to the end.

Again, the Italian duo, who have mentioned their love for mixing different genres and sounds as one in the past, have fused multiple elements together for a futuristic track which ticks all the right boxes.

Romanian Native BOg makes welcomed return to Watergate Records, joining forces with LKF Project for new EP ‚Her Song‘. 

With a string of releases on some of electronic music’s most compelling labels including Crosstown Rebels, Bedrock and Diynamic, BOg has steadily forged his reputation as one to watch. Following his input to the ‚Watergate 25 – Adana Twins‘ compilation with ‚Tribelune‘, BOg returns to Watergate Records, this time teaming up with exciting new vocal-led outfit LKF Project who have already made waves with a release on Agoria’s Sapiens imprint.

‚Her Song‘ is driven by the sombre, ambient vocals of the LKF Project, underpinned by its undulating bassline. It ebbs and flows, gradually culminating to deliver a satisfying dancefloor moment. The dynamic Dub version of ‚Her Song‘ sees the track’s energy intensified, propelled forward by its intricate layers and breakbeats. The EP concludes with ‚Discrete Class‘, both rolling and introspective, it perfectly fuses the groove of house with the asceticism of techno, a sound that BOg’s signature style lends him to.
