These were the stories that he told himself, tall tales from long ago which had got lost in the spaces in between. It had been a while since he’d last let himself think about such history and nostalgia for it was buried deep in the recesses of his mind. His memory palace was a place visited once in a blue moon for the magic which lived behind those thick castle walls was sometimes best to be left alone.

Lying amidst the tall grass he watched as the clouds moved slowly by overhead, he’d allowed himself this one afternoon to daydream upon what might of been in another life. He opened the heavy gates and let his memories of a wilder, better time come rushing in.

He closed his eyes and nodded off…

Priori continues to develop and grow as a producer, moving toward deep, pensive textures and atmospheres on a new EP for Midgar Records. The Pareidolia EP is comprised of four tracks of intelligent Techno which teases and intrigues – this is a record which will sound good on dark nights and in smokey rooms.

Freshly minted from the ever consistent force de majeure that is On Board Music, we have Jin Synth’s Enigmatica EP. The London based producer explores the inbetweens of ambient and deep techno, with each track in the release offering a nuanced and mature interpretation of the various shades and moods that inhabit the space.

Regretful Crossroads wraps an auditory hug around the listener, bringing warm melodies and delightfully natural percussion to bear as the song unfolds. The track’s time signature gives lightness and a groove that percolates throughout. Best for those come down moments, or a relaxed afternoon listening session.

Jin Synth’s Enigmatica EP will be released on November 8th, including a notable collaboration with Giuseppe Tillieci aka Neel.

Legendary Irish producer @o-utlier puts forth a mind-bending array of leftfield techno in its purest state for his Animalia EP, Biome. Known for otherworldly soundscaping that threads through his productions, live-act and DJ sets, o.utlier’s expansive style draws on motifs like atmospheric drone, atypical percussion and mesmerising field recordings. He continues hypnotising with Biome - from the glimmers of acid and kicks in ‘Ionic’ to the winding brood of ‘Crop Rotation’. Priori’s hit EP Pareidolia gets a well deserved remix treatment. The relation between Priori and Midgar started early 2023 with the release of his Pareidolia EP, where a remix for Keplrr followed quickly the year after. Now, early 2025, a group of close friends and admired artists were invited to rework the Pareidolia’s originals.

Midgar affiliate Forest Drive West uses the opportunity to present not one but two remixes. Presenting one half-time 85 bpm twist of Hazard and another slow-paced murky techno groover. Originally from Montreal, Maara forms the Canadian connection and she turns Memory Palace into a beautiful bouncy dub-techno floater. Sound experimentalist Notte Infinita takes his turn on Pareidolia’s title track and creates some magnificent eyes-closed drum & bass hypnotism. At last, Amsterdam’s upsammy brings back the light with her iconic playful approach. She flips the steady groove of Glass Shards into a jumpy interplay of rhythms and joy.
