Awkwardly Social (@awkscl) collaborate with @Azemad, an Egyptian living in the German capital, for his 'Afriki' EP, a real statement EP from the artist, and the label's largest release to date at six tracks deep.

The pixels darted and danced across the small screen, they flickered and flashed with a radiant glow before vanishing forever not to be seen again. In the background the sounds and sirens of a magical world chirped and chimed as he pressed the buttons furiously with vigour.

It was time to smash bowser, to leave him in the dust and banish him from the box.

The arcade was crowded, an existential escape from the wild world outside. Music played loud and the whoops and screams of excited patrons echoed through the ranks of the old building.

It was all that was left.

XINDL is set to release a new record via Subject To Restrictions Discs. It's a nostalgic affair, a nod to old 90's EBM, electro and beyond as the record whizzes and skips between sounds. This track 'Smash Bowser' is a bit of a secret weapon.

Under his new alias, Means to Fall, drum and bass DJ and producer @hathordnb switches the tempo and assembles a smooth mix of leftfield breakbeat and techno.

He didn't consider himself a problem solver, solutions weren't his forte, rather he found himself growing more and more confused or flustered the longer the problem remained unanswered. Thus he'd made sure he was surrounded by others that could work these conundrums out on his behalf, however big or small. From life-changing decisions to trivial everyday occurrences, he let others guide his way, no questions asked.

It's always interesting when two seemingly disparate minds come together for a release. For the first time Capracara, the mind behind music for DFA, Cómeme & Unknown To The Unknown, joins forces with SMBD  (aka Simbad), who has releases under his belt for Hyperdub, Apron and his own Modern Dialect imprint, for a three-track EP that matches their contrasting styles. Raw and rhythmic, Club Ozone kicks off with two rhythmic machine rollers that blend elements of house, industrial and dub, whilst on the flip 'The Ozone' lightens up the vibe with a twinkling dream house number.

Pour ce nouveau numéro d'Oratio, nous vous emmenons à Cologne. c'est Aino Dj, membre du collectif Precey, qui nous emmène dans son univers. 
Pendant un an en France, Aino DJ a commencé à mixer pour le plaisir. Depuis, elle a joué dans des clubs comme Gewölbe et Jaki et a fait ses premiers pas hors de chez elle avec des concerts au Melt Festival et au Silbergold de Francfort.
La DJ basée à Cologne apporte une sélection de toute une variété de sous-genres différents, toujours enracinés dans un mélange dynamique d'électro et de breaks, mais jamais limités à cela. Elle aime tordre ses sets dans des directions inattendues et ne se concentre jamais uniquement sur un genre, ne voulant pas répondre aux attentes concernant le son qu'elle joue. C'est Speechmaker qui s'occupera de la première heure.

. Mono twists our sense of time again, coming up with the third installment of his ‘Redate’ series: an elegant selection of uncut tracks, roaming in the fields of electro, acid, IDM and EBM. Redate III in its digital format presents tracks that were written and recorded between 2014 and 2015. As the cassette version, it includes not only Redate III (as side A), but a collection of J. Mono’s various other tracks created between 2017 and 2021, that appeared beforehand on various compilation albums (as side B). In other words, with this fresh new tape you’re all set with 8 years of J. Mono experience.

Redate III has a collection of 12 tracks that were all born in the mid 2010s. They are quick and ambitious tracks with usually a fast pace, ready to action and not afraid of melodic or rhythmic complexities. These raw edits usually tell us a discourse of a few key musical elements, constantly intertwined with each other: winding basslines and beats, wandering pads and leads. Never longer than 3 or 4 minutes, they focus on precise and rapid variations of sonic ideas that are full of heart, akin to compositions we know as bagatelles, sonatinas or études from previous centuries.

The twelve tracks are spot on understandings of what intuitive, energetic yet sensitive electronics can mean in the 21st century. Sweet melodies, acidic vibes and dreamy echoes dominate the record while dirty, muddy and distorted sound waves are also eager to take over the course.

Redate III offers a range of impressions and moods, where each track captures one very specific emotional moment. Melancholic and passionate tunes, frantic rhythms and delicate harmonies at work: electrified gnossiennes, beat-driven gymnopédies in 40 minutes.

A new mutation on Mecánica Clásica's sound, preserving the essence of previous works: ambient inspired by electronic pioneers such as Craig Leon, K. Leimer, Marc Barreca, Jon Hassell or Cluster. Continuing with their contemporary update of these sounds, this new delivery evolves to more rhythmic tracks, oriental influences and percussive sequences that bring it closer to leftfield vibes, with a wide range of textures and details that appear and disappear. The title of the album "Danza Sin Nexo" refers to this: a rhythm that forms and deforms without an apparent link, but ends up forming a coherent whole.

Jah-Tek presents track two on the A-side, Backlash – a sharp, relentless arrangment that rides rolling triplets and a drill-like bassline, pushing forward with uncompromising soundsystem pressure.
