Here we go again with another outstanding premiere bound to knock your « sox » off (oh stahp it, you like the lame puns). The Glasgow/Inverness based 2SOX records is treating us with some dancefloor thumpers. Under their label, Debukas and his brother Aldo, the two masterminds behind 2SOX records, have been signing and producing some absolute fire for the past year. Their latest release is no exception. Prior to starting the label with his brother, Debukas released titles under other well established labels, such as CHURCH and 20:20 Vision. 2SOX is now releasing its third instalment, Oddsox Vol. 1, showcasing tracks from Debukas, Tom Churchill, TELESKOP and a remix from Sparky.

There was much to see and much to do beneath the covered streets, the tarpaulin which hung from atop the towering buildings cast a shadow down upon the densely packed close. This was Owino market and the price was right for whatever and whichever wonder you chose to buy upon that fine day. The air was close and the tiny alleyways packed with the hustle and bustle of people moving between market stalls - the heat was stale under the tightly packed coveralls and inside was all the trinkets and treats you might ever desire. 

Kawuku Sound is the collaborative project of two electronic producers Contours and Cervo who have worked alongside Ugandan percussion troupe Fonkodelis Arkestra. They have release a six track EP with a blend of influences.

There was very little to be seen out here but for rocks and sand. The dust blew abruptly in great clouds across the open expanse under the dense breeze of the midsummer wind. It was hot and heavy, making the eyes sting and a clenched face a must. The glowing pink sky offered the slight promise of rain and a cool release at some point in the near future but for now it was up to them to ride out the mist in all the glory of the Eastern world. It was going to be a long afternoon...

Terr is an artist moving from strength to strength - following releases on the likes of Permanent Vacation she now appears on Clash Lion with a sprawling assortment of electronics.

The people in the room began to dance, worries were left outside on the pavement and would not be collected until sometime tomorrow morning. All love within this desparate place was to be found amidst the room, what was external was to be forgotten and ignored for the time being. He had come here to dance with freedom and self preservation. This was his night upon the floor and the rest of society could give a damn how he moved to and fro with a swing in his step. 

Ryan Berkeley is set to release an inspired new EP on Houses In Motion in what will be the fifth outing on the record label. A strong release spanning a breadth of genres and style - this one is a treat.

The sunlight was piercing through the blind as he lay softly upon the cushioned floor. Inside the apartment it was still dark and shadowy after the carnage of the night before. Opwning his eyes he looked around to observe the scene which had unfolded. Toppled tables and chairs lay scattered upon the floor like discarded toys whilst music still echoed on from the speaker sat promptly in the corner of the room. He let out a sigh and smiled, this was home. 

ONIPA is set to release a new afro inspiredEP on Mawimbi Records and Wormfood Records. Mr. Boom is on remix duties for this one.

The earth rotated slowly day by day, the moon would appear only to be swept away by the dense blue sky of the morning and the radiant light. The sun had more power than we might ever imagine - to some it was a god, to others simply an incomprehensible object millions of miles away beyond reach. Heaven forbid the day we might find ourself within the touching distance of the great orb for we might burn helplessly to death - a little planet wiped out by fire, one with which we should never have played. 

Night Noise are set to release a new EP by Mantas & Vencla complete with an intriguing rework by the infamous Pete Herbert. Not one to take half measures his cut is inspired and strong.

Coming in strong with a superlative disco house pumper, Black Loops & Innocent Soul are here to make the masses move with their debut dual single 'Wanna Feel It' on Classic. Berlin producer Riccardo Paffetti of Black Loops brings in his funk and soul influences, with Italian vinyl junkie Vittorio Rinaldi aka Innocent Soul putting his raw and heavy touch on another collaboration following their projects on Toy Tonics. Adorned with looped guitar riffs and a stomping bassline, the title track hollers a peak-time sound through filtered soul vocals and warped disco vibrancy. 'GHETTO U' holds a more direct house sound, keeping the high energy up through guitar loops and deep bassline drops. There are few records around that can maintain sky-high levels of liveliness, this production is certainly one.

Next up on Calypso Records is Aristidez, who has emerged as an important figure in his hometown of Lima with the Casalocasa parties which he has run since 2012, and has used to bring the likes of Hunee, Matias Aguayo and Kim Ann Foxman to the city. Having previously released on labels including Disque Discos and Discos Aquelarre, Aristidez's brand new 'Evasivas Esotericas' EP takes the listener on a journey dipped in Peruvian culture through the streets of Lima.

We're very happy to be premiering a remix of lead track 'Nada Nada' by Russian duo Simple Symmetry who've previously released on Disco Halal. Mysteriously titled the 'What Happens After Death' remix, it ups the tempo with frenzied vocals and clattering drums.

If Aeroplane's recent single 'Body', featuring Yves Paquet on vocals, launched this summer's extended heatwave then Simon Le Saint's new remix is a direct result of the track's prolonged exposure to the sun the past few months. As the leaves begin to change to autumnal hues, the thermometer drops and the nights draw in Le Saint's tropical remix complete with sinuous acoustic guitar, steel drums and an exotic, sensual rhythm is a welcome reminder of the balmy summer nights that have passed.With DJ skills extended from Hip Hop to Pop and House, the Mexico born Belgian Simon Le Saint already has a strong name in the nightlife scene. As a musician, he performs as a drummer for French artist Sebastien Tellier and Belgian global superstar Stromae, including perfomances at Coachella, SXSW festivals in the US and at the infamous Stade de France in Paris. Not to mention the biggest Arenas in the World including the mighty Madison Square Garden in New York.

Simon was behind the decks at most aftershow parties all around the world and shared the decks with some of his peers including DJ Premier, Jazzy Jeff, Pete Rock, Felix Da Housecat, Kenny Dope, Lil Louis, Kerri Chandler, Miguel Campbell, Aeroplane, Dimitri From Paris and John Morales. As a producer he worked with hip hop, pop and reggae artists as well as European pop superstar Vaya Con Dios, gaining him several Gold and Platinum awards.

The letter was long winded and told a tall tale of love. It was written upon delicate paper with carefully spelt ink.
