The plane careered through the clouds, emerging through the fog into the deep radiant blue above. This was another world, the stresses of planet earth were left far behind as they sat aboard their flying vessel surrounded by the whizz and whirring of machinery.

Down below the waters raged and the planet fought amongst itself. Yet up here, in their little cabin they were munching upon snacks and cold beverages from a trolley on wheels.

Who cared for what was down below?

Not when they were this high.

The Magus Project remind us why the 90's was a better time as a new EP is unearthed showcasing the sound which accompanied the tail end of the century. Fast paced, driven by electronics with a raw underground edge.

As dance music should be.

PREMIERE: The Magus Project - Wave Control [What Sonic?]

DJ Esah, whose real name is Christian Reimann, already developed his musical taste at a young age in one of Berlin's many districts. He challenged his parents every day with his love for club music. If you spell his name backwards, it reads “Hase”, the German word for “rabbit”. This name originated from a street worker, who gave him this nickname back when he started to play his first sets in small bars. He bought his vinyl at the record store "ClubsoundsRecords" where he got to know his mentor @dj-jordan-berlin, who assisted him on his first steps in the Berlin club scene. DJ Esah played regular gigs in the most popular clubs of Berlin although things got a little quieter at the moment. But he still knows how to excite the crowd on platforms like Twitch and Soundcloud. The upside of the current situation is that he has more time now to work on his own tracks. So stay tuned for more.

DJ Esah, mit bürgerlichem Namen Christian Reimann, hat seinen Musikgeschmack bereits in jungen Jahren in einem der vielen Berliner Stadtteile entwickelt. Er forderte die Nerven seiner Eltern jeden Tag mit seiner Liebe zur Clubmusik heraus. Wenn man seinen Namen rückwärts buchstabiert, lautet er "Hase". Dieser Name stammt von einem Streetworker, der ihm diesen Spitznamen gab als er anfing, seine ersten Sets in kleinen Bars zu spielen. Er kaufte seine Vinyls im Plattenladen "ClubsoundsRecords", wo er seinen Mentor @dj-jordan-berlin kennenlernte, der ihn bei seinen ersten Schritten in der Berliner Clubszene unterstützte. DJ Esah spielte regelmäßig in den beliebtesten Clubs Berlins, obwohl es momentan etwas ruhiger geworden ist. Aber er weiß immer noch, wie man die Menge auf Plattformen wie Twitch und Soundcloud begeistert. Der Vorteil der aktuellen Situation ist, dass er jetzt mehr Zeit hat, an seinen eigenen Tracks zu arbeiten. Also bleibt dran für mehr.

It’s a distinct sound diving deep down into the spheres of genuine underground techno/ house where bass-lines surround your mind and the fascination of a gloomy yet groovy world of sounds inevitably enters your head. Qentaro Records Germany  was formed in 2017 by Tim Weißbach. 

The name Qentaro translates as ‘storyteller’ which loosely describes our main mission. Although we have worked with some ‘named’ producers, Qentaro was created as an outlet for unknown producers around the world. Qentaro Records Germany inherits multiple talented DJ's and producers such as Akki DE, Swen Baez, Pierre Point (UK),Tim Ziemer, Zeal 9t1, The Minimal Project, Toku Collector, Pancha Karma, Tim Rilies and Sam Aniken.

Music publisher for DJ/producer Manuel Perez (Banyuls Sur Mer, France), and co-publisher with Melmax (Paris, France), events/festival organiser within electronica dance since 1994, music agent, resident DJ, and last but not least music consultant for events, lifestyle and hospitality sectors via TheSoundDesigners with a focus on Asian market.
