Her brow furrowed as she narrowed her eyes and studied the lines on his face. He surveyed the creases around his eyes, the way his mouth turned at the corners and his eyes glazed over. The face that had stared back at her for the last 30 years. She’d always been able to read his expression but things had changed - he’d changed. From one day to the next his temperament was different; at times she felt as though she no longer recognised him, as though he were a stranger in her home. 

It’s been a little while since Timothy Clerkin took centre stage on his own Insult To Injury imprint, one of our very own RSN sub-labels. A certified collection of club tackle, the four acid-driven tracks on ‘Plasticity’ are a firm reminder that dance floors are very much back in action. Kicking off with the morphing acidic title track, the EP then brings a tribute to Alice In Chains - a reinterpretation of classic anthem ‘Would?’ alongside Buran, of which proceeds from the single will be donated to Mind UK - before the stripped back 808-laced ‘Mercurial’ lands and the rave-indebted hardcore of ‘Order 66’ rounds off proceedings.

Since meeting as students in Leeds, these two friends have shared their passion for music. The pair immersed themselves in the city’s clubbing and live music scenes and after discovering a mutual appreciation of Techno, Classic House, Indie, Acid and a lingering teenage love of Metal; they began making music together.

Early demos generated murmurs of approval amongst bloggers, clubbers, open-minded members of the indie glitterati and earned them a residency at the one of the UK’s most prominent club nights, Wax:On. Shows in the UK and Europe followed along with a couple of original EP’s and remixes which won them the support of fans and landed them a guest mix spot on Radio 1.

Summers spent darting back and forth between English festivals and Ibiza residencies were paired with winters spend in a dark South London studio full of old synths. Those long days helped tighten and focus their sound and resulted in a further run of original EP’s and a another host of remixes.

The Twins have continued to focus on their efforts in the studio in conjunction with DJing around the UK and Europe, and have gained a whole of new fans and champions including Mr Andrew Weatherall, who has not only consistently supported their productions in his DJ sets but also invited them into to play his A Love From Outer Space parties.

Eskimo Twins have a host of new material due out in the coming months.
