The tree grew tall and proud - who knew the sights it had witnessed across the years. Most days were but a breeze, there was little to observe but for the flying birds and the dreamy tropics which surrounded the tall branches and the deep green leaves. It was called 'Aftetto'... At least that was what it had been kindly named by the owner of the garden - he had planted it and watched it grow across the decades as he dreamed of life far away. The villa on the hillside was alone and quiet. The tree stood high. 

Stijn Sadee is set to release a new EP on Kitjen as he appears on the imprint for the first time. The label has been held in high acclaim featuring music by the likes of Suzanne Kraft, Fantastic Man and more. His appearance does not disappoint and comes with an extravagant Gerd Janson remix.

Hailing from Málaga, Spanish footwork duo @bsnposse are gearing up for their new album, having previously released on labels including Modern Ruin and Slime Recordings. Out 6th June on their own @iberianjuke imprint, 'Take Me Back To The South' marks the label's first ever vinyl release.

A love letter to Chicago's footwork culture (check the DJ Rashad homage on the front cover), it's home to eight sample-heavy 160bpm stormers, sprinkled with a liberal dusting of Mediterranean sunshine.

PREMIERE: BSN Posse - Nevah Get Tired of Doin' What U Love [Iberian Juke]

The mud was deep and the trenches were full with men who had begun to fight valiantly against the evil invaders. From outer space they had landed upon earth and were spreading havoc and terror upon a planet of innocent, vulnerable victims. They cast their lost acid on towards the weak and hoped to lure them upwards back to the blackened skies from which they'd come. The night was ominous and dark - nobody wanted to be at war let alone with the terrestrials from beyond the beyond. 

DOTHEDU is set to release his second EP on his own Senseverse imprint. Live acid cuts recorded in one take, no reworks and no added tweaks. Real live shit with vocals straight for the club.

Victor Valiant is a brand new musical pairing of two friends who'd been meaning to go in the studio together for many moons... but life got in the way, as it always does.

Composed of Keith Tenniswood (aka Radioactive Man) and Freerotation resident Suade Bergemann, the duo's debut EP 'V is for Victor' is out 6th July on Keith's new Asking For Trouble imprint. Recorded over two three-day sessions at Suade's mega studio deep in the north-east, it's home to seven tracks of supremely funky electro/techno cuts.

This was a dangerous state of crisis, the town was under attack from an external drone which left little but an echo in their ears and a foreboding tone amidst the air. It had come last night, late under the cover of the blackened sky. It had swept into town from the East and had left a fury in its wake. The beast from the East they called it, the devil in disguise under the pretence of friendship. The sunny weather had soon been replaced by a relentless storm and they must now escape the noise.

Solar & Brother Nebula have collaborated on a new EP for Legwork - a fierce assortment of abstract electronics and weirdo dance. Brother Nebula then takes it apart and reconstructs. Good times.

They ran wild, jumped between the hoops and watched as the world ran riot in a distant maze. Past the circles there was a glistening growl from the crowd who watch the bikes spin fast. The sound of engines roared inside the circus tent as they began to accelerate around the inside of the metallic bulb. The darkness was black and still but the noise of the machines and the rubber on steel was deafening and loud. It was a beautiful dance, the engines in musical chaos. 

La Mverte is set to release a new EP called "The Inner Out" on Her Majesty's Ship. It is accompanied by an in house favourite in the form of Matias Aguayo who remixes in tasteful style.

Atlanta, GA label @harshriddims (run by Ryan Parks aka Fit of Body) is gearing up to release the third instalment in its compilation series. Out 15th June and limited to just 50 cassettes, 'Harsh Riddims Vol. 3' features contributions from the likes of Mike Simonetti, Cities Aviv, Beat Detectives and Divine Interface, covering a whole lot of stylistic ground.

We're very happy to be premiering a track from Atlanta producer @thinkthrice. Featuring his own speak-sing vocals, 'I Know You Know' hovers along on woozy chords and throbbing bass before pivoting into a rattling DIY house cut.

Harsh Riddims Vol. 3

The bicyle travelled quickly upon the tarmac as it descended the mountain at great pace, she could feel the wind in her hair and the breeze was soft and warm against her face. The grass whizzed by on either side of the road as the occasional car passed by with the dull hum of an engine struggling against the steep slope. In the distance she could see the waves of the ocean rolling in against the shore - this was where she was headed and the winding path would take her right there. The beach, to the Aqnoziu. 

Caffeine is set to release a new EP on Third Try Records. Just a hint - it's great. It is accompanied by some remixes by Roza Terenzi (lady of the moment) and SFV Acid.

The island was a beautiful escape from reality - the soft, rolling waves moved back and forth against the shore. The sand was delicate and golden, an exciting paradise which offered the world to visitors from far away lands. However, deep in the jungle there was to be a wild and wonderful party that night. A bizzarre explosion of light and colour and dance. The euphoria amidst the island was rife and the excitement was at time unbearable... colour was everywhere. 

T.E.N.S. is a record label designed to encourage the music to speak for itself - effective, robust and purveyors of the finest in dance and electronics.

The shopping mall was incredibly busy - the crowd moved back and forth between the shops spending money like paper was free. "Ah, ah, ah.." was the ringing sound of money being dished between each register and the dollar signs were illuminated in the eyes of zealous businessmen behind the scenes. This was not a place of peace, a place of passion or of love but a land in which the ego reigned supreme. It might as well have been a graveyard for all the life and soul in this place... 

Vaskular appears on the second volume of the latest Comeme release. "Solidarity Forever" is now in its second edition and features four tracks of utter strength and family unity.

The lab was full of people waiting for the experiment to begin... This was to be an ode to Dr Alex Peterson, a project which had been decades in the making. The test tubes bubbled with green fluid and the steam began to rise towards the large metallic chimney up above. The students were all wearing protective goggles for everything might unfold at the blink of an eye with an almighty bang. They hoped not... but it might. Outside the beautiful sunshine cast a sombre mood on the nature of the inside world. 

Pat Ca$h is a mysterious figure - really nobody knows who on earth he is. Some tennis player or something perhaps? Anyway, this new EP is great and the second track particularly caught our ear.

@sunareht returns this Friday with his second EP for Parisian label @paradoxeclub! It's called 'Sagas' and it's honestly one of the freshest things I've heard in ages. Over four tracks, he reimagines the golden age of filter house through a distorted club lens, influenced in equal measures by Baltimore club, classic trance breakdowns and the 'weightless' movement coalescing around the Different Circles label.

We're premiering the closing track 'Saga', which builds through finely-chopped sample stabs, only to refuse any sense of easy closure, resulting in a state of permanent, unresolved euphoria.

Paris-based label @moveltraxx are back with their latest release - a new four-track EP from Chicago footwork artist @deejay-manny-2! Out this Friday, 'Can't Get Enough' showcases both sides of the Teklife producer's output - his signature RnB influenced smooth style, and a rawer approach that harks back to the genre's roots as fuel for battle dancers.

We're premiering the title track, which takes its heart from warm horn blasts and a soulful diva vocal, but contains enough furious percussion heat to transform any dancefloor in an instant.

Can't Get Enough EP

PREMIERE: DJ Manny - Can't Get Enough [Moveltraxx]

The Magic Ray are releasing a brand new EP this week! 'Ce n'est pas toi' is out 15th June on digital and transparent 7", limited to just 30 copies. There's a launch party taking place the same day at Berlin's 8mm Bar.

Led by Fred Bigo, who started out in Paris' late '90s experimental noise scene, the band's self-titled debut album came out last year on Jennifer Cardini's Dischi Autumno imprint, with remixes from Simple Symmetry and Khidja.

We're premiering the title track from the new EP, which fizzes with spiky guitar lines, swarming synths and Bigo's quintessentially Gallic vocals.

Mexican producer Fernando Luna returns next week with a new release under his Colossio alias (which has become his permanent creative output of late). Out 18th June, 'Moto' marks his debut on Calypso Records, the label run by Thomass Jackson and Iñigo Vontier. It contains three new originals and a pair of ace remixes from Man Power and Jonathan Kusuma.

The title track is our pick - its dark, driving beat shows off Colossio's krautrock and psychedelic influences, and is bound to ensure this EP becomes a mainstay in numerous record bags.

The tactical object was stuck with fragile precision to the metallic structure. Stood atop the bridge he watched below as the magnet hung at the end of a long piece of rope - it gripped the towering beam with firm might and would be all thet assisted his descent down the tower. It had taken many years for him to muster the courage to climb the great bridge - it would be no small feat if he completed his drop unmarked. The sun was setting in the distance and the bay was getting dark. It was nearly time...

Marcelus is set to release a new EP on Tresor - the longstanding Berlin institution and techno stalwart which has delivered across decades. The new EP is a form fitting release which rings true to the proud ethos of the imprint.

The game was afoot - the teams were under immense pressure as the crowds of riotous spectators roared with horrific menace from the stands. There was still hope that they might be able to push the spectacle into overtime but by now several had begun to leave with their heads in dismay. Out there under the glow of the floodlights there was little warmth, little love and a whole lot of lonely. Teams were supposed to live and breathe but they were simply a dead, empty shell without a hope...

Secretsundaze return to the main Phonica label for a new EP which comes kitted out with remixes by none other than Waajeed. It is however their own re-evaluation which we present to you.

Brieuc is set to release a new EP on Comic Sans - packed with wonderful breaks and elements of nostalgia it's a bit of a whirlwind trip from past to present.

There was a sense of grace and foreboding about the hesitancy of his tone. He spoke with such fickle promise - his very nature was conflicting and difficult to determine. Stood in the empty gallery he spoke as if he were able to offer the world to those that stood before him. However, there was nothing to say that he had much grandeur or life beyond the four white walls at all. Life can fail, life can fall - he didn't seem to care outwith the walls. Paintings hung promptly around the room - they looked old, like him. 

Soda Lite appears on a new split EP by Ville Nouvelle - an intriguing release with subtle charm for the dancefloor and intrigued mind. The release is titled "Music For Five Post Cards".
