The shopfront looked gloomy and mysterious in the streetlight. Dust sat layered in the windows and no light could be seen from within. The crew of revellers stood eagerly outside the door, a small queue had already begun to form behind them as they waited. Finally at midnight, the bolts were unlatched and it swung open. One at a time they were ushered inside and in the distance they could hear the sound of drums echoing. Below them there was a party underway, deep down in the basement, and they were going there. 
Mark E is forever on point. His latest EP for Futureboogie is on point and 'Basement Trax' is on point.

"Can you sang?" shouted the bartender. The down and out hell hole had been falling apart for decades amidst the Texas landscape. It sat discretely alongside the highway as it had for many years, its wooden shutters blowing gently in the breeze against the old shack of a building. Inside there were few customers, the drunken women behind the til would shout at each customer who entered challenging them to sing. Her strong southern accent bellowed sharply through the quiet as she called for a "sanger" over and over again. 

Hotel Lauer is the project of Phillip and Jacob Lauer, two German brothers with a taste for percussion, synths and drums. Here is their latest release on Emotional Especial.

How many times must he sacrifice himself to the repetitiveness of the ritual. The loophole of repetition and the pain in the process. Nothing good had ever come of this yet still he perservered with each step as if it were the final piece in the puzzle which he would someday complete. The thing about a ritual is that there is often no meaning, no point, no end goal, just a sense of something which must be completed, finished or done. This was his ritual and his life would be dictated by result of the repitition. 

Based in Berlin Ujin Ray's debut EP is coming through very strong indeed. Released on Night Noise records it has been receiving support from the likes of Ivan Smagghe and Kasper Bjorke amongst many others.

Invisible Inc.'s sixth EP delivers this wonderfully hazy, rhythmic percussive cut from Delta Girls, with some Marr-vellous guitar work. The four track package also includes tracks from Legion Of Light, Claudio Cremonesi and The Immaculate Rivombo.

The underwater exploration had taken them deep into the dark murky depths of the sea below. The submarine was travelling into the abyss in the hope of being able to send some sort of audible signal back to the land which lay far above where they know now found themselves. There was little to be seen through the window, occasionally the glimmer of a tiny sea creature could be seen in the lights of the bubble ship. They scuttled across the floor unaware of the ship and its search for hydrophony...

Super Hexagon is a Leeds based party and newly founded record label. Their guests have ranged from the likes of Dj Stingray to Luke Vibert and Helena Hauff. Their debut EP is a split record and features J.Wiltshire and Alma Construct. Listen to 'Hydrophony' from J.Wiltshire.

This is the case which may be for some, not all, but some. Mistakes are made and identities change. 

Felix Dickinson and Jaime Read are toying with a case of "Mistaken Identity" on their latest release for Let's Play House. The pair are set to release a three track EP on the label shortly.

Enhua had been far from home for a long time now. She missed her friends from the tiny village by the sea but it had been time for her to leave. Little had made as much sense to her in her life but this. She must travel far through this land to find where she belonged. Her family were good people by the coastal town and they always would be, but she felt a connection to something which called to her from beyond those surroundings. It was primal, a reason to search, a reason to find the root of her very being. 

The latest record from tact Recordings has been receiving a solid stream of support from the likes of Gerd, Mr Ties, Efdemin and Missimiliano Pagliara. Here is the remix of Yard One's 'Enhua' from Roger Van Lunteren.

Schmutz are an upcoming duo from Belfast. The pair have been actively running parties in the city, booking guests such as Leon Vynehall, Hunee, Midland and many more. The pairs latest adventure in music sees them release an EP for a sub label of Fina, titled Fina White.

Three days had passed since the turf war. The streets were solemn and quiet, many had lost friends in the fight. Gang trouble was all that they knew, society had firmly distanced themselves from this part of town. His brother was still out there somewhere, lost amidst the troubled streets. The phone rang abruptly with a buzz. A voice on the other end of the line asked if his brother had been seen amidst the chaos, but time was fading fast and he hadn't seen that cat in three days now...
Duckett are set to release an ep titled "Balsamic State Terriors" for Greta Cottage Workshop. A lot of care and attention has been put into this release, with hand painted sleeves and well crafted tracks.

The patches of sand sat dotted amidst the deep blue waves of the sea. In the midst of the Mediterranean ocean there were pockets of civilisation living on tiny islands, care free and euphoric they danced on the beaches from morning until night sipping on succulent juices of fresh fruit and leaves. Colourful shoals of tropical fish swam under the beams of the sun, there radiant cartoon like appearance flickering between the glitter of the waves. These tiny islands were their home. 
Leng Records have established themselves as a stalwart in the sound of sunkissed music and melody. Their latest release comes from Rocco Universal, he takes inspiration from far and wide and introduces us to "Tiny Islands" on this EP.

The sweat dripped from his brow as he stared upwards towards the far reaches of the deep blue sky. He clenched his spear tightly in his right hand as he sighed and began to walk slowly forward. A small circle of onlookers had gathered around him as he prepared to engage in battle with the beast. It reared its head and snarled as he entered the ring, the audience gasped as he tread leaving footsteps marked in the mud. He was a warrior caught in the eye of the sun, the people needed him, and the beast would be tamed. 

Here is the dark and moody remix of 'Sun Warrior' by LUM. The original comes from the Akbal on which Robbie Akbal and Veronika Fleyta have crafted the theme and set the tone.

The tree sat atop the far away hill amidst a sea of long green grass and reeds. In the distance the child could be seen swinging from one of the tallest branches, heaven knows how he had made it so high. All that could be seen was his shadow against the darkening afternoon sky as he swang to and fro. No ladder would reach as far up as to bring him down. All of a sudden the tree let our a solemn creak, it began to talk and whispered to the crowd which had gathered beneath the swinging child. It spoke...

"Burn me down, bring him home."

Based over the pond Suzanne Kraft has done a very good job of raising his profile in Europe. His sound fits perfectly on labels such as ESP, Melody As Truth, Running Back and now Kitjen. This latest effort sees him amp things up a tad as he releases three dance floor targeted tracks on the 'DJ Safety' EP.

The tables had turned on the world of spirituality. What had once been a thing so profound and adored had become black. Higher powers were at work beyond the understanding of those on earth, their worhsip had once been kind, loving and good but now the mass was tarred by a haunting set of moral judgements and all encompassing beliefs. This was a black mass. 

Amir Alexander has always had a close affiliation with Argot as a label, in 2012 he was the first artist to release on the imprint. Now he returns offering up a three track EP titled "The Butterfly".

One gun hung behind the bar, never had it been used before but there was an ever growing sense of tension amidst the gathering drunks. In the corner of the room a glass fell and smashed to pieces, this was met by a roar of laughter from the gang of youths to the left. The barman shifted nervously on his feet and glanced around the room. He dreaded the moment in which he might have to take action, make a move and use that gun, that lonely gun, that solo gun.

The squelching breaths echoed from wall to wall in the murky depths of the building's basement. A thunderous drum could be heard bellowing beneath their squawks and crunch. One man danced at the back of the empty room, nobody else was in sight, a lonesome mover drifting between the walls. Who knew what planet he was on, where he had come from and where he was going. This was his night of dance and all else was irrelevant. He was a god amidst this place, the lord of sound, the lord of acid. 

X-Kalay seem to be building quite a name for themselves after the success of their first release from Kask and its accompanying Ajukaja remix. Their latest release sees them move into a heavier dimension and features the Rome based Pearl River Sound.

Communications were coming in fast, and the jets scraped the canyon walls as they entered stealth mode. Locking in, the liberation of the country was ever closer. Peaceful conciliation had broken down long ago, weapons were needed to ensure that the people would get the revolution they had demanded. 

A collection of filthy, rotten remixes from the artists on Alvaro Cabana's Madrid label, the package features further tracks (& mixes) from Kieran Holden (Undo), Gameboyz (Avanti) and Cabaret Nocturne (Jonathan Kusuma).

The spaceship rocketed towards the stars above as planets, comets and cosmic dust soared past them through hyperspace. They had been in orbit for some time now and the world sat far below their metal craft. Spacesuits on, they sat huddled in the tiny cockpit looking back on a place which they used to once call home. Who knew what adventures in the skies awaited, time would only tell as they began their quest for new life and civilisation. They would float happily through the darkness forever more, for ever more.

The thought had spung from instinct. It left an impression in her head as she recalled its inspiration and existence. It was not a conscious decision for her to think these things but somehow they found themselves embedded in her imagination on far too regular a basis. She wished she was able to forget them from her conscious but she was trapped, a slave to the venom of their poisonous tongue. The cycle would repeat again and again. she had no control.

The stars would align over the floating planet. It was a delicate process and the outlook from earth would never be the same again. Capricorn would meet Leo in the sky, they would dance gracefully through the blackness of space, a sprinkling of white dots glittering amidst the dreamy evening night. Many moons observed the formation from millions of miles away in the galaxies above and beyond. It was all but a figure of his imagination as he lay watching from the grasses of earth far below. If only capricorn would meet leo for him. 
The Persuader steps up on remix duties for the latest release on Constant Sound. He remixes the work of VRSION on a new three track EP set for release on the 28th of March.

He had often debated in which direction to take his future self, there were far too many choices in this life, more than one should ever need or care for. However, after much coming and going he now believed that he had set claim to his final aspiration. He had made his chosen goal, it was now set in stone. Only time will tell if he would be able to hold himself to account and take the next step towards success in this life.
