I got the opportunity to write chiptune for a student film that was completed against all odds - and that's cause for celebration! Here's the main theme that I wrote for the film, and you can see the completed short film below!

Is Prog-Chip-Outsider-Fusion a genre?
Currently using milky tracker and a yamaha psr-550 for midi, and i use famitracker to process the "dpcm" samples. im trying to stay within the nes 4 track with a few exceptions:
1. pattern length is variable between patterns, i cant write what i want to write without that.
2. dpcm channel is sort of "assumed" and im not so worried about the file size or amount of spoken word samples as much as i am the quality of the samples being appropriate to the nes.
3. i adjust the triangle volume down to half at times without adjusting the volume of my "dpcm" samples, and vice versa.
4. im sure theres more that im simply unaware of, and if youre an NES buff and you notice a deviation i didnt mention i would love to know it.

A fade-out is the briefest way to represent eternity.
