It’s the big boss’s birthday! So we decided to chill with him as he gets ready to dance and destroy this rough winter - - - & welcome the warmth & beauty of the coming spring. We made this set as the last dance of the old world AND//OR the first boom of the new one: a pre-game sunset rush to bring on the tandaV AND//OR a gorgeous chill out sunrise for the post-tandaV morning.

Inspired by musical influences coming from the Romani people, commonly known as Gypsies. In many of the places the Romanies have lived, they have been known as notable musicians, blending a spectrum of sonic elements connected to the wide distances travelled. It all started with the Indian roots from Rajasthan, then adding and influencing elements of Persian, Middle East, Egyptian, Spanish, Greek, Turkish, Russian, Romanian, the Balkans, many other countries in East Europe, even American folk, amongst other zones worldwide. It all explains why it is so difficult to define the parameters of an unified Romani musical style, as there are many differences in melodic, harmonic, rhythmic, and formal structures from region to region.

This mix features Tribal Romani elements, ranging from classic instrumental interpretations to wide electronic subgenres fusions; including sounds and rhythms of Rajasthan, Persia & the Middle East, Egypt, Turkish Gypsy, Russian Gypsy, Spanish Flamenco, Balkan Gypsy & Psychedelic Gypsy. 
All coming from the creations of virtuoso musicians, outstanding producers and masters of rhythm.

Would like to share with you very special audio recording. This is a introductory part for a dj set that i played this year at Psy-Fi festival.
 
For this performance i invited my new friend - Fresh to join me with his mantra live vocal looping improvisation. This collaboration created some very special vibe and raise energy on the dance-floor. Unfortunately his audio and all the rest wasn’t recorded.
 
Don't forget,  our life is a direct consequence of our daily actions and intentions. When we change ourself - we change the world around us.

Beloved Dwellers and Friends!

Here is the recording from the first Morning Dance Meditation at Dwell, held at Saturday 30. January from 09.30-10.30.

The meditation start with meditative music, a support for connecting with the breath, and some nice and easy yoga to stretch and prepare our bodies, grounding ourselves and getting relaxed and ready… Then we will dance!!! 
Starting with some soft and beautiful music, and gradually waking up the heat in the body, before we, with the support of trance music, disappear into dance meditation! Yohooo!!!

The session will close with a sacred blessing followed by a silent meditation, an invitation to deeper explore the space inside of total relaxation and joy.

Witch Princess is living out her life long love-affaire with the deep, organic, dark and hypnotic sounds of electronic music. With over 13 years behind the decks, Witch Princess is well known for her magical way of bringing the dance floor into a state of dance meditation and euphoria, to take the crowd with her on a musical journey whether she plays on a club, forest party or festival.

Her main sources of inspiration have always been found in nature, fantasy and spirituality. The shadow of a twisted old tree can instantly light a spark of inspiration - a deep need to create a new set, intended to send the listener on a magical journey from the dance floor, through our inner world, to connect with the mystical spirit world. 

«I early discovered that music can take you to a space when the «you» totally disappear, when you fall into a trance and the body releases natural ecstasy, a space of meditation. And I just love to share this wonder with others on the dance floor.» W.P.

Witch Princess is booking manager at Dwell, an organic restaurant and nightclub in Bergen, Norway, booking both national and international dj’s and producers. She is also creating music for different art projects, Dj’ing in Norway and abroad and is teaching yoga and meditation.
