This song started as a jam session between me and Nahlej creating a nu metal sound by mixing hip hop, alternative with metal. Simon added further guitar licks and a solo. Our working title "Heavy Jam" inspired StevieJ to rap lyrics about drug abuse due to low self esteem and mental health issues. All thoughts running through the narrator's mind mind created a sticky heavy jam. Instead of tackling the issues, he prefers to numb the pain with meds and weed. This doesn't solve any problems, so better not try! 
Starting with a guitar theme, I could never have guessed the heaviness of the instrumental and lyrics both. Thanks for your collab, I am very pleased with the result!

The artwork has been generated with DALL E 2, but I invested some work cleaning it up and adding details with a graphics tablet.

I had this tune in my head for quite a while, and now I finally recorded it. It's always fun to take new approaches to the recording process. It's certainly not as clean and polished as it could be, but there is another version in the works with the Laybow-legacy studio project.

Seagull magically touches with symphonic splendor Peter's erudite songwriting, singing, and playing, but still remains deeply personal as Father Time is personified.
