Even in the darkest of times, there is always hope and light to be found.

"Openness" is a deeply personal exploration of the themes of vulnerability, authenticity, and connections. Through my music, I delve into the depths of emotions, exploring the intricacies of human experience. My hope is that this album will provide comfort, inspiration, and support to all those who have felt broken and lost, and serve as a reminder of the power of resilience and hope.

It all starts with 'Openness.'
By being open, you build a lot of 'Connections.'
You will have wonderful 'Experiences.'
But then, you have to face the 'Consequences.'
After which, there is only 'Hope' left.
Then, it is time for 'Acceptance'...
And only then, you will achieve the 'Inner Light.'

This album is a genre-blending journey, combining electronic, chillout, and psybient elements with sampled ethnic instruments, ethereal voices, and electronic synth leads, as well as deep, warm, and punchy basslines. The music creates an immersive and emotive sonic landscape, inviting listeners to delve into their own inner world.

With its unique cinematic downtempo aesthetics, Unyt leads us into a perpetually expanding travel through soundscapes while playing with our centers of attention, loss of focus and a certain sense of dispersion.

The album redefines Scann-Tec’s approach to musical composition and introduces multi-form field recordings vaporised in an array of analog and digital tools to create surreal and behind the veil atmospheres ; wide etheral pads floating high above his distinctive, dynamic and well-calibrated low-end,  slender drums, and finely carved rhythmic patterns set the pace gradually transforming free fall into a zero-G experiment.

Vladislav Isaev, music composer and sound sculptor from Moscow, Russia, also known as Scann-Tec started writing music in 1996. He has since been working as Audio director for NIVAL, a Russian game developer and composing music for various TV Series. Vladislav collaborated with The Future Sound of London and Mark Morgan on several projects, and with his partner Elena on Broadcast of Variants.

After several tracks on various compilations and two solo albums, Scann-Tec releases his third opus Unyt on Ultimae.

Russian electronic musician CHVRN will be releasing his EP Drowned via The Playground on the 4th August 2017. He has shared stages with the likes of Dita Redrum, Gnothi Seauton, and  IC3PEAK, and has collaborated with Polish wave producer MYSTXRIVL. His remixes include tracks for a string of USA, artists including Aesthetic Perfection and GenCAB. 
 
The project name is derived from the city Charn in the series of classic fantasy novels, The Chronicles of Narnia. CHVRN became interested in music when he acquired his first guitar ten years ago. In 2011 he started the 8bit/chiptune project “Reboot Me.” This lead him on a path to the discovery of the witch house scene, a movement that has become infamous for underground raves and wave music parties in Russia over the past several years. 
The sound of CHVRN has roots in 80’s new wave and synth, but  is inspired by a variety of genres: modern wave, post rock and witch house. He cites the likes of Prodigy, Depeche Mode, Kamandi, and HNRK as influences as well as popular EDM artists such as Dj Snake and Major Lazer. The result is a strong atmospheric sound, combined with spatterings of modern hip hop and EDM rhythms.

Says CHVRN, “This EP marks a final step in my journey since my first release. It’s the endpoint of a chapter which has seen me research the new edges of my sound. Just dreamy vibes, secret thoughts and embracing the spirit of my city.”
