Every month, THISBE Recordings host an artist or a band to share with you awesome music for an hour.

For our February 2024 podcast, we host Dominik Marz, who shares with us some of the finest music he has lately been curated. His podcast also comes on the back of his upcoming release "Return to Alpha", to be released via the label on Friday the 16th of February 2024. 

Indeed, after producing a mesmerizing remix of "Tetra Seeds", the title track of Radial Gaze´EP released on vinyl and digitally via Thisbe Recordings in November 2022, the stars naturally aligned themselves for Dominik Marz to set the scene for more music to be released via the label.

With recent releases on high-profile labels Innervisions, Huntleys + Palmers and Feines Tier, the electronic musician makes his debut on Thisbe with his new EP "Return to Alpha". Yet another masterpiece from the German producer, showcasing what he does best: music at the crossroads between deep house, atmospheric techno and minimal electro.
The result? A sound that strikes the perfect balance for the audience to straight away immerse itself into Dominik´s world, a unique soundscape well above the clouds, where gravity quickly vanishes to give space for our imagination to take-off and travel far, very far away from the ground.

With "Return to Alpha", the Augsburg-based producer has given us another "rendez-vous" somewhere in his own universe where the artist manages, once again, to get the listener to meet in the middle and find nirvana.

The two singles "Return to Alpha" and "Safe Spaces" are available on a 30 copies limited 12" one-sided transparent vinyl edition, while the whole 4-track EP will be available on all streaming platforms on Friday 16th of February 2024.

Dutch producer and DJ, https://soundcloud.com/elmundomusicpage has been at the forefront of electronic music for over two decades. Since moving to Berlin he’s cultivated a sound that encompasses deep, rhythmic textures and suave melodic soundscapes. 
El Mundo entered the electronic music scene as a DJ in Nijmegen in 2002, and soon started producing music with Satori, gaining international acclaim as the duo El Mundo & Satori. By 2012, he pursued a solo career in Berlin, where he developed his distinct sound, met and began collaborating with instrumentalist/ vocalist Zazou, while founding his label, Quetame.
