Next up on Format Records is a brand new four-tracker by Joton, including a remix from Setaoc Mass.

On the Zeroreux EP, Joton delivers four strong cuts that perfectly matches Format trademarked basement techno vibe. Up first is the title track, which sets the tone with an ensemble of solid kicks and whirling synth stabs. Setaoc Mass drops a bass-heavy remix of the track that will definitely do the damage on the floor. Adding a scruffier, slightly more metallic groove to the mix, ‘Doscope’ weaves in dubby sounds and minimal percussion. Closing the EP is ‘Develose’, an uptempo and industrial belter designed for peaktime purposes. 
FR016 continues Format’s quality discography with another release that’s not to be missed.

“Attimi” is the third release of the new Evod Music series. Oisel’s first track “Distante” contains the melodic side of the artist. Various rarefied chord melodies intersect with confused whispers, spaced out rides and long reverbs. “Eighteeth Round” by Nemarc is a gloomy trip thanks to its suspended ambient sounds supported by powerful drums and metallic raids. Third track, called “Implant Memory” is by Giri. The track is dancefloor oriented: a solid groove and scifi sequences were bound by the artist, creating a perfect tool to warm up dancefloors.“Kafka Loop” is a sinusoids orchestra. The minimal drums groove is surmounted by sines’ confused dialogues that create an “eternal loop” feeling.

ExoPlanets is one branch of sublabels from the 30D Records cosmos ran by 30drop who is now based in Germany. Since launching in 2015, ExoPlanets has featured talent such as Population One, Terrence Dixon and Dasha Rush.

Kastil resides in Spain and here introduces his latest offering of original music on the Hard Standing EP with four meaty and grimey sonic selections, following appearances on P.E.A.R.L.’s Falling Ethics, Cabrera and his own imprints Soul Notes and Stale.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track “Hound” that’s a tenacious assault full of delicacy and precision. Its burgeoning, twisted textures morph and contract like a hellish thunderstorm on the horizon and its constant tension makes it a discerning DJ’s dream.

SYXT has its roots in Berlin with owners Ketch and MZR at the helm. Launched in 2018 there have been contributions from artists like Tom Hades, Vegim, Mary Velo and XHEI.

The latest release is their third compilation release made of sixteen original tracks and that welcomes producers like Juan Trujillo, Hitam, MZR, Müzmin, Shkedul and many others showcasing a wide variety of eclectic techno styles in one place.

Sweden’s Samuel L Session is known as a veteran in the scene, releasing music from 1996 and running numerous label projects over the years such as SLS, Cycle and Klap Klap as well as his music landing on illustrious imprints such as Slam’s Soma, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode, or ARTS.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track “Suspended Animation” that is a prime example of less is more. Hypnotic and subtle, the groove flows effortlessly with suspense and knob-twiddling tweaks to keep you attentive to the smallest changes, completed with captivating claps dripping in atmospherical tension to top off a truly enchanting treasure.
