For Mickael Agarla, aka MAGA, the idea of helping the children happened 3 years ago ago when a friend took him to Fundación Renacimiento, a foundation based in the heart of Mexico City in Tepito that is supporting on average 60 underprivileged children.
This is a NON PROFIT charity cause, and 100% of the revenue will be transferred from Proton’s Children Of The Future label account, directly to Fundación Renacimiento’s Paypal account. Twice a year, Maga’s team will reach out to everyone involved to fully disclose the reports on sales, donations and streaming revenue with full transparency.

Damian Lazarus curates the third SOULS compilation on Crosstown Rebels’ sibling label Rebellion. Comprised of four tracks, transcending electronica, tech house and progressive house, Rebellion presents SOULS Vol.3 features the production talents of Airrica, Lorenzo De Blanck, Capoon and Bartolomeo.

Rising star Airrica opens the V/A with the playful Defect. Blending bleeps and rapid-fire claps with a warbling synthline and alien-like vocals, it’s a bouncy number that’s perfect for a peak-time dancefloor. Italian DJ and producer Lorenzo De Blanck whips up the pace with Addiction. Tight kickdrums and a trumpet-led melody wind through the track, building an instant mood-lifter. On Emma, Belgian talent Capoon offers a slow-buring, more ambient piece. Ethereal vocals glide
through the soundscape before a huge synthline swoops in and switches up the vibe. Bartolomeo completes the V/A with Isla Del Rosario, a funky track brimming with organic percussion and complimented by a Spanish vocal that dominates the track. Cinematic chords add a hypnotic feel, evolving into a cosmic, club-driven cut.

US-born Airrica cut her teeth into DJing in Tulum, finessing her skills as a selector and crafting a sound of her own from the booth. From Mexico to The White Isle, she has gone on to support Artbat, Damian Lazurus,  me and many more. In the studio, she produces lush and loud house music, stitching rumbling basslines between hypnotic grooves. Italian DJ, producer and vinyl head Lorenzo De Blanck has made his mark on the global electronic scene with several releases on Moon Harbour, Hottrax and Saved Records, among others. Remixes for Virginia Lazzarini, Detlef and Ohm Guru feature in his back catalogue. Antwerp-based Capoon draws inspiration from emotion rather than function, making music with a palpable mood and story-telling aesthetic. Releases on Human By Default, MoBlack Records and more display his thoughtful approach. Engineer and tour manager for label-head Damian Lazarus, Italian artist Bartolomeo is a classically trained musician with a meticulous attention to detail that is evident across his electronic material. Minimal and deep house tracks feature in his discography, with appearances across Hot Creations’ Hot Waves, Crosstown Rebels, Claque Musique and more, as well as via his own imprint BAR Musica.

As the penultimate track on the upcoming 'Spektrum Vol.4' compilation from @tautautauoffical, @xinobi's 'Too Early Too Late' is astoundingly fresh. The Portuguese producer takes an unconventional approach with his sizzling tech cut, playing with structure and polyrhythms that make for a kinetic listen. Metallic claps and brassy kicks accent a throbbing bassline and steady four on the floor pulse, but it's Xinobi’s offkey choice to work commandeering vocals in at the breakdown that sends 'Too Early Too Late' to huge heights. This track is programmed for peak time, a scorching party starter that keeps you hooked from the start.

This spring saw seasoned XYZ contributor Koelle team up with multi-instrumentalist Reza Safinia on Reverie, a two-sided offering which saw the union of electronic tones and orchestral influences into a dance floor affair. As the fall arrives to Montréal, we're pleased to present our biggest remix compilation to date. 6 artists from the over the broad melodic house & techno spectrum will offer their versions of the tracks over the weeks to come. Here is Vol.1 of the Reverie remixes, featuring Lovecraft, Niki Sadeki and Ian O'Donovan.

Lovecraft takes his time to set the mood on his take of 'Reverie'. Floating chords rest on an arp which keeps on building up until the break. That's when the main hook comes in, carried by a rolling bassline continuously building in energy.

Offering the first remix of ‘Into The Woods' is Niki Sadeki. Her take on the song embraces an upfront arpeggio and a pumping ride cymbal. These core elements offer the backdrop as the arrangement is rounded by chimes, lush pads and counter-melodies.

True to his style that made him a pillar of the label since the early years, Ian O'Donovan goes in with a proper roller of a tune, first establishing a riding hat groove laying on the bass progression. The iconic horn from the original is then unleashed, leading into a break which sees the harmony develop in full effect. O'Donovan finally sprinkles an acid layer to the bass, an exclamation point to the driving track.
