Well, as you know, we love a good cover at Glasgow Underground, but we thought an Afro-House version of Last Christmas would be too much. But then JOHANNSON went and made one, and EVERYONE from Alex Wann to Black Coffee realised that it was ESSENTIAL. His bootleg, despite being just two weeks old is flying on Soundcloud. We wanted more than just that, though, so, in the quickest turnaround we've ever done and with one of the finest vocals we have heard, here is JOHANNSON with his spell-binding version of the classic "Last Christmas". “If you ever have walked through the corridors of a music school, you will hear piano and other instruments resonating from a distance or from behind walls and doors.  This past October, I had just finished releasing some projects and took a break to write something new.  As I was composing, I had feelings of nostalgia, echoes of the past, places I have been, walking through music school halls, etc and they all came together into this track,  I used effects and distortion to bring out that nostalgic.  “Places” came out of that weekend session. I then went through some old photos from places I have been to create the simple collage for the cover art.”
