Hard to believe it, but Funkier Radio is turning one year old! Really doesn't seem like that long ago that I was nervously recording episode 1, and the formula hasn't really changed over the last year - it's still me playing some of the funkiest cuts from my personal music collection in hour 1, then handing over to a fellow DJ to take you through hour 2. 

All of the guest mixes on the show are very special to me, but I've pulled out all the stops for this first birthday edition, and have a real treat for you. I'm massively excited to bring you an exclusive hour of music from the incredible All Good Funk Alliance. I've been into these guys for as long as I can remember, and I think their mixes really embody a lot of my vision for Funkier Radio - eclectic selections of deep cuts from across the spectrum of funk, disco, hip hop, latin, jazz world music and the rest, all threaded together with the common strand of funkiness... and the way they assemble these wonderful tunes in their mixes blows me away every time. Their guest mix crams in no fewer than 25 tracks, and it truly is a treat.

The duo of DJ Moneyshot and Rackabeat have been delighting dance-floors and lighting up the radio airwaves since forming The Allergies and releasing their debut album in 2016.

Year in, year out, they’ve sharpened their skills on the turntables and in the studio, dropping one dynamite record after another. Clocking up ‘Album of The Day’ gongs, national ad campaign spots, and Radio 6 Music A-list status, the pair show no sign of stopping the fun.

After consecutive top 40 albums, the boys just dropped number seven, FREAK THE SPEAKER. And it’s another stellar showcase for their feel-good funk, soul sampling savvy, and party-starting hip-hop.
