We wrote & recorded this back in March it somehow got lost as it ended up on a private playlist. I rediscovered it when on holiday scrolling through my files and it was on Nooblys private list.
So glad to rediscover the track as we record so many in the aim to just use the best but I really liked this on hearing it again with fresh ears. 
The time out on holiday gave me a chance to catch up so many unreleased tunes which some can be revamped to present in a different way. 
We have been so prolific in our writing that we ploughed through and onto the next. We both also do solo stuff and collaborations so  it becomes a conveyor belt of one after another. So I’ve promised myself to slow down and listen more to the art that’s created and appreciate it and the people involved. So a special thanks to Noobly and everyone else I have worked with it’s been a pleasure guys. And thank you to all those people who listened, commented and reposted.

Note.. because I made the song 77 bars long as a hat tip to my late Uncle who died at 77 recently... I abruptly bring in the dance bit at a time when we don't expect it musically.... It's almost annoying... Sure death is usually that too in a tiny understatement... again quite nicely representing the uncertainty of when death might arrive.
We imagine ourselves as dancing and trancing with all past passed on souls from and including bar 78 to the end... The poem below asks the universe for help and in one crazy part of my mind all those souls are going to help us too... Sure no harm in asking... It's what we all want deep down I think...

...remember this is Jan's song ..So I'm imagining everything based on how Jan looks at existence. Call Jan the quality control for the ideas I suppose 


This song is truly a blessing. Very hard to put reason around the coincidence associated with it. But that's cool! I've been an atheist for many years and this song has brought that word, blessing, back into my life where I actually feel I can use it my truth again. It's amazing.

I can't know this but maybe if you work from the original creation Session #1 and work your way through them. They have some subtle and some dramatic differences as the song grows.

To get the full scope of what was going on for me you will need to read my waffle about it but sure just getting what you get from it aurally would be an equally cool experiment following them in the order they were created.

This song explorers the scourge of racism on Earth. Different amounts of melanin in our skin is really the only difference! So this 'lights a torch' for the 'other shades, the hues'. People of different colour skin! We're all the furking same. The Magic slur is when Magic Johnston had to deal with a biggited NBA team owner. the good Dani let's eat... Dani Alves picked up and ate a banana that was thrown from the stands. the racist gesture is meant to suggest some humans were monkeys on the pitch. Dani Alves stood up and was counted for that moment.

apparently the amount of melanin changes Iver time in our skin depending how long our decendants have stayed in those locales with different amounts of light getting there. That's it! apart from that we all shit piss and whine

The shivers in this song refer to the rush of a feeling you get through your back and body when some idea or someone has inspired you. A flow of nerve energy I suppose. I associate relating these feelings to reading shaman texts in my late teens and early twenties and when I was first going.... What the fuck is that? Those words gave a solid answer back then for me 🌿🌎

When the world wakes up from fear I believe we will revisit all these old cultures ways of life and truly embrace the truths we may have missed. There was possibly a less insular approach to imaging their own existence back then. Found, inside each of us and discovered in maybe a simplicity muted by the noise of the modern world.
