@ombrar1 is a French and British young producer formed as a Sound engineer. He is driven by sound even more than music itself which has shaped a lot the way he produces music. Always on the move, his style became harder over the years, continuing his path towards a more violent and rough sound.
Passionate by all the different sound techniques and tools, whether it’s with analog gears or digital ones he keeps experimenting all the time, and his interest for Field recordings, gives to his music a certain texture that is easily identified. Ombrar had the opportunity to play in several clubs with the Ultracks Records agency.
His ever increasing experience in the Sound domain has enabled him to work on different projects such as Cinema, Radio and even Audio Books. He also spends a lot of time working on his label Black Silhouette with his brother.
Deeply inspired by the eeriness and unknown of this world, he is always searching for atmospheres that will define his path.

We premiere today the EP's title track "THE SKULL", a track that channels ^L_'s personal turmoil into throbbing, convulsing beats combined with a dystopian atmosphere. The release also features a remix from Brasilia-based Quizzik.

LABURNŪM starts its EP series with what seems to be in the continuity of French producer OMBRAR’s path toward experimentation combined with a rough and hard-driving techno sound. You may find noisy guitar sounds recorded for each track, a broken piano, the relentless presence of field recordings of all sorts and some sharp modular sounds as well. On the flip side, London producers Burden and Cathédral served two powerful remixes, both club-oriented and as granular as the originals. It looks like this EP will have many layers to discover and rediscover to explore the eeriness of this world.

Alexis Le-Tan and Tom Colebrook quite fluidly morph into our lazy initials: ALTC. Our current appreciation for an older psychedelic sound can be traced back to a dirty, careless and omnipotent period in the early 90’s when the sun, the Fridge Club or Space Tribe leggings brought our bodies together in time to these heroic sounds. Then it all sort of just wound down, more abruptly for some, and for a long time. But like old Smaug under the Lonely Mountain, we understood the longevity of gold. A few years just gone we embarked on a restlessly chaotic and passionate re-appraisal of our sonic past - just at a different speed. An ever growing archive and many edits later, we find ourselves still going; we are a happy and volatile little team, Mr. Le-Tan, who needs no introduction here, a Titan of this  slow sound - arguably the original, whose honed booth selections are regularly adorned by loyal crowds all over Europe. Mr. Colebrook, a flash in the pan veteran of the Goa scene, now mainly chief archivist and an Internal wordsmith of ill repute. 
There was a folder that existed in the archive called ‘The Socialists’ and over time as we pondered it, we began to understand the contents as taking on some sort of metaphor for a socialist arc of success and defeat, of growth and change, of hope and loss, of commitment and desertion, of lies and the truth, of battles and peace, emptiness and loss. Heroic themes indeed Comrades. As a musical selection, we wanted to imbue these metaphors with corresponding sonic inflections, sometimes we thought of sounds coming up through the ground to fight and be victorious or perhaps to lose, only to retreat and live another solitary day. Some were sounds for a moment of blissful morning sun soaked success, or the grey pulse of an imagined industrial trench. But above all - this selection of songs shows a commitment to each other and to the time and place they were made, and how they exist here - Now. We hope you enjoy the show!

After two years, Mike Nylons brings to an end his Eneme trilogy, a series of releases that has been published in 3 volumes, in 3 different formats and on 3 different labels, though all based in Hungary and all twinned for the same cause. 

Farbwechsel hosted the first chapter of Eneme, which was released in May 2020. In this case it was released in digital format and the album featured a total of 8 tracks, a first release in which its author already showed the sonic path that this saga was going to take, with an expansive sound, grounded in degraded electronic music, in which he mixes electrifying and radioactive textures with corpulent sub-bass and an ideal dose of noise.

Just a year later, in May 2021, Dióbél released the second chapter, this time on vinyl and with four tracks in which he maintains the same sonic line, but he gets closer to the dancefloor with two first tracks of binary and forceful rhythms.

In the third and last volume they have chosen to release it on cassette, and under the protection of EXILES. In this 11 tracks Nylons shows himself to be deeper and more regenerative. His evolution during these years can be appreciated in the use of a wider range of sonic elements and also with a more careful and elaborated sound treatment.
