Covering various classics is not uncommon in Italo Disco. Hardly a song that has not been pressed through the synth mill and spit out again with its own charm.

This is also the case with the premiere release from the label "Mattoni Pazzi" with the "Monomax Band": As the song title already reveals, you will find a reference to the Led Zeppelin classic on side A. In full 80's Italo fashion, this version is peppered with synth riffs, glittering arpeggios, a thundering DX-7 bassline and almost gothic-tinged vocals.

Side B is a remake of the remake and drifts off into the cosmic at a much higher tempo. A hypnotic repetitive bassline is underpinned with loving, oriental-inspired, lead melodies and vibrating soundscapes.
Limited to 300 copies, this 7" is a must for every vinyl lover!

Blind Trust [preview]

Body music, mind music, ass-shaking and head-boggling, Clay Wilson’s third release on The Bunker New York is a dance EP that manages to be both restrained and cacophonous, speaking to his classical training as well as his years as a DJ, producer and sound tech. Since we first met Clay as a new-to-New York City Bunker party regular back in the Public Assembly days, through releasing his earlier music and having him join us at numerous label showcases around the world, we’ve come to know him as an exceptional producer and DJ, an essential part of The Bunker family and a regular fixture in our lineups. This new release is an expression of the deep relationship we’ve all forged through years of raving together - of freaking out to an unreleased track on the dance floor only to find out your friend made it and then getting a crew together to remix it and put it out!

We heard the original of Osho and decided to give it the remix treatment in order to bring out the various dimensions of the track that were percolating in the background. While the original version is subtly shifting with a cascade of rhythm at the forefront, the Jasen Loveland remix acidifies the track by about 420% and in the process adds a punch of darkness that takes the track solidly into late night territory. Derek Plaslaiko’s “oogly boogly” remix delivers on the promise of both oogling AND boogling, and if you can figure out what that means please tell us, but it likely refers to the jangly swing that loosens up Clay’s tight production to great effect. rrao’s contribution to the mix, following up her debut production on the 15 Years of The Bunker compilation in January, is a subtle and weird version with a murmuring vocal amping up the surreal abstraction, a real departure from the original that nonetheless preserves its character.

Nobody was getting out. The rules has been issued and so help him they would be obeyed, even if it meant blowing the whole damn thing down to the ground. Looking outwards from windows, people watched from little rooms as the outside world slowly began to fade and fall away. Day by day the loneliness grew, like a monster in the room. The green spaces in which they'd use to gather, run and dance were now empty and deserted. A few stragglers were left behind but they wouldn't last long. 

Dj Physical is set to release a gorgeous new EP via Deviant Episode. This track is rather aptly titled given the current set of circumstances. This tracks called "Lock Down".

Fresh from his recent contribution to the Harvest 001 compilation, label boss Sarayu offers up the fourth entry to his More Rice label, entitled ‘Pridi 303’ – four acidic cuts for the danceoor. His quiet, yet steadfast dedication to the studio is showing clear signs of technical progression as well as beginning to illuminate his own brand of solid
grooves and soaring pad work. Whilst the airline industry remains in turmoil, Sarayu’s productions taxi quickly and land smoothly with minimal turbulence, transporting the listener between the different countries and styles that make up More Rice. Opener, ‘Adventures of a Dream’ brings together a subtly distorted 303 pattern and a twinkling synth riff, set against the backdrop of a thoughtful pad designed to space-out danceoors across Asia. Next up ‘PBIFH’ continues the 303 motif, this time laying it over a supertough, broken kick drum pattern that eventually leads into a twangling arpeggio synth pattern. On the B-side ‘Constant Jam’ is a late-night electro, boom-bap excursion which draws on crafty synth and acid lines to dazzling effect. Rounding off the EP is a peak-time, four-to-the-oor remix of ‘Adventures of a Dream’ from Hong Kong based and coowner of Klasse Recordings Mr Ho, a masterclass in building momentum for maximum danceoor impact.
