Happy Friday!

Digging the lead track this week, '16 Shots' from @blindinghq, really strong and emotional lyrics, great vocals and that bumpy UKG vibe, what a tune!

Hope you guys are digging the indie vibe, I think these kinds of tracks fit in really well with the overall mood of these sets.  Check my favorites this week, 'Sleeping In' from @philgoodsmusic, and a bit of a classic from the Spanish group @elastic-band-2 called 'Kind of Girl'.  That one is just a trippy, strange, catchy tune, and I love it =)

After ED:IT and Pennygiles killer collab ʻSet Theoryʼ did serious dance floor damage back in 2014 - and with the Ulterior Motive remix still ringing in everyoneʼs ears – it was a certainty he had to grace the label again. And heʼs stepped up with two killer cuts, this time showing the deeper side of his armoury.

ʻIf And Only Ifʼ opens with glorious piano chords and a haunting vocal signalling something deep. Yet it drops heavily with a seriously weighty sub and fizzing reese bass layered over the top. The piece still maintains its deeper side though, and is a glorious melding of vibes, making it a track that a whole range of DJs will want to reach for.

NSA Podcast 004 - Entire & Criss W.

With 'Elixir' now available, Aaron Rose shares one of the project's strongest and most personal songs, “The Art of Sole,” boasting impeccable production from J57.

The track follows the more bombastic “Swank Corleone” and militaristic “Parkside Ave,” and it serves to further demonstrate the talents of the Brooklyn rapper formerly known as A La $ole. That’s because Rose uses his rhymes to tackle a number of topics close to him. He fires verbal darts at critics who have tried to pigeonhole his artistry, and later shows love to his late friend/Pro Era brother, Capital STEEZ (RIP).

It’s all soundtracked by acclaimed producer and fellow Brooklynite J57. His work behind the boards absolutely shines here as he serves up a Pete Rock-reminiscent instrumental, which boasts slick horns and crunchy percussion. It’s the perfect backdrop for the Pro Era rapper, who bares his soul (no pun intended) while again flaunting his immense breath control.

“The Art of Sole” is now available for stream. ‘Elixir’ is now available through all major digital retailers and streaming platforms, and can be purchased on CD, via Coalmine Records. *Vinyl copies will be available shortly after the new year.
