For the 20th episode of the Classic Mix CD Series we asked friend of the show and fellow north east lad Mr Ian Blevins to recommend his favourite all time classic disc. Being one of the most talented selectors and dj's you will likely ever hear... Ian came back to us with what is a truly exceptional 'Choice' and it stands out to him simply by being the most outrageously good CD he always remembered. We've played this 4 times already and see where he's coming from. It features tracks such as Mission Control's 'Outer Limits', the dark lyrics of Tony Cook's 'On The Floor', the outrageously fun Hugh Masekela's 'Don't Go Lose It Baby' and the famous 'The Whistle Song' by Frankie Knuckles.

You can catch Blev closing the summer season at his We Love, Space residency in Ibiza where he spins on the Premier Etage every weekend. As well as a selection of other gigs around the island. Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.
