I am the funky Filipino Buddha. occasional selector, sound system controller, marathon mixer in training, gear hoarder, vinyl, cassette tape, and mix CD collector.

Healthcare Professional by day and night.  I work as many double shifts as possible.  I truly love taking care of all the patients that I meet. Furthermore, I'm the oldest of 7 siblings, I'm gay, single, Bipolar, Anxiety, depression and PTSD. NOT saying this as a downer. I would not have it any other way. It makes me, me.. I paint and listen to SoundCloud (90% Carl Cox) to calm my brain.  Focusing on what I'm listening to and painting on my canvas takes it all away. That's my daily "meditation/self-care" I do. Then in June I'm off to Ibiza for 7 days and again in August for 7 days. I've been doing this every year since 2004 (except for 2020 and 2021) Like I said I love my job and the hours take a tole on me But the 2 weeks in Ibiza and a couple of days in Barcelona after (my cool down) is worth it. My family thinks I'm nuts. I say, raise my freak flag High and FUCKING proud.. Maybe some day I'll see you all on the dance floor.

Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.

About Gareth:
Digital creative type, gamer, music lover and occasional DJ. Currently living between Dubai & Seoul after setting sail from Sunderland in 2010.
