Time for another eclectic mix.  This one is a bit different and has a bit of soul, funk, electro, electro funk, hip hop and even a jazzy track.  Tunage spans the decades from the early 70s to the mid 90s and a few edits and mash-ups of my own.  Did this about 5 days ago, but what with xmas and everything, only just got round to uploading it.

Eclectic mix Vol 4. If you enjoyed the other eclectic mixes, you should like this one!  In case you haven't heard the others, these mixes are pretty much anything goes and are always a big jumble of styles/genres with changes of pace and the music usually spans the decades.  Hopefully it all works together for you, for me, it's another one for a sunny day.

Housey & Funky and Misc Stuff Vol 2! It's not really too housey, but there is a bit of house in there, it is definitely funky though, and I'm not really sure what the genres are, and to be honest, it doesn't matter.  If you were a clubber/raver back in the early to mid 90s, you'll know this kind of stuff well!  There's a definite nod to places like Back to basics, Angels, Golden, The Gallery and even the Hacienda!

As always, I've tried to keep it interesting with mash ups and loads of edits.

Been meaning to do this for a long time...   In this mix you will find a few obvious and a few not-so-obvious classics, ranging from the mid 80s to the early 90s.  All are edging towards the softer side of Old Skool, and some are moderately gooey.  All have meant something to me in one way or another over the years, so I hope you enjoy the mix as much as I did making it.  Tempo is around 120BPM and I'm fond of monkeys.

Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.
