Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.

About Gareth:
Digital creative type, gamer, music lover and occasional DJ. Currently living between Dubai & Seoul after setting sail from Sunderland in 2010. As a young designer, club and music culture was the driving force for his work, producing artwork for local club nights and record labels in the North East of England. In particular, DJ mix cds and their packaging were always his 'holy grail of design', especially those from Renaissance, Global Underground and Good Looking Records. It's a pleasure to share these discs back with people and they still influence our tastes to this day.

ich bin Daniel Radosavljevic (AKA:Elekfunk,  Genetic Tool , Daniel Edisson),
Ich habe seit meiner Kindheit ein großes Interesse an Musik und in meiner Zeit als Jugendlicher habe ich die Hip Hop Kultur für mich entdeckt , gelebt und geliebt bis heute ! Da mein Musikgeschmack breit gefächert ist , habe ich auch Interesse an Klassik, Jazz , Rock, Soul, Blues , Raggae sowie Experimental Stile!
Von meinem älteren Bruder kam ich dann auf Elektronische Musik als ich so 10-11 Jahre alt war und neben dem Hip Hop habe ich natürlich auch die Rave , Hardcore (Gabba) und Techno gehört! Ein ganz lieben dank an meinem Bruder Aleks  ;)
Ich denke da war ich so 18-19 Jahre alt als ich einen ganz besonderen Dj  kennengelernt habe namens Maik Conrath der mir gezeigt hat wie man mit Vinyl auflegt! Bei Maik habe ich dann auch den Underground Techno (zu der Zeit hat man diverse tracks noch Schranz)und Acid kennen und lieben gelernt das sich bis heute nicht mehr geändert hat ! Dankeschön Maik!!!
Auf diversen Partys habe ich auch meine Erfahrung sammeln können was bis dato auch ganz gut war! Um ein paar zu nennen (die ich vergessen haben sollte… Sorry), Minimale Belastung, Elektronik Kartell B-Day 2010, Santa Tanzt, 3 Tage Wach, 1Marl1, Hart aber Herzlich Dj Contest, Loops…
Bei Maik habe ich dann auch den House experten Matthias Kerb kennengelernt!!! Und wenn ich Experte in Sachen House meine dann ist das so…  Durch ihn habe ich House Musik kennengelernt und bis heute habe ich den style lieben gelernt und immer wieder aufs neue! Danke Matthias !
Zum Schluss  ist es bei Techno und Acid geblieben!!!

I am Daniel Radosavljevic (AKA:Elekfunk, Genetic tool, Daniel Edisson), 
I have since my childhood a big interest in music and in my time as a youngster I have discovered the Hip Hop culture for myself, have lived and belovedly till this day! Because my music taste is fanned out broadly, I also have interest in classical period, jazz, rock, soul, blues, Raggae as well as Experimental styles! 
Then from my older brother me came on electronic music than me was so 10-11 years old and beside the Hip Hop I have heard of course also the Rave, hardcore (Gabba) and Techno! Quite love thanks to in my brother Aleks ;) 
I think there I was so 18-19 years old as me quite a special Dj has got to know called Maik Conrath has pointed me like one hangs up with vinyl! Then with Maik I also have the Underground Techno (at the time one has various tracks still Schranz) and Acid know and do not love each other qualified till this day any more has changed! Thank-you Maik!!!

In the end there has remained with Techno and Acid!!!
