Tom Drew invites Dycide of IO records for the second hour of this month’s edition of Spectral Voices. He is a producer / DJ, professional sound designer and visual artist from Munich, Germany. The alias Dycide has progressed through making minimalistic drum and bass to deep, hypnotic techno, often on a background of glistening, atmospheric soundscapes and textures.

Italian Different Exhibition celebrates its first release, a V/A compilation featuring Einox, Doctrina Natura, Kontinum and Simone Bauer, whose track "Strati Percettivi" is Monuments pick for the premiere. "Concerto EP" will be out on October 24th.

MNMT Premiere: Simone Bauer – Strati Percettivi

Vrika is the moniker under the Spanish producer Fernando Blanco. 
His music is a mixture of hypnotic rhythms, ambient soundscapes and organic textures, with a tribal output. 
Starting from techno and moving into different subgenres, he has released music on PhonoTropismi, Doppt Zykler and other underground labels.
Recently founded the project RVD, alongside Discknoked and Randoom, focused on slow techno and live improvisations. 
He is also part of the CALMA collective, dedicated to programming ambient and electronic music events in Madrid.

"Ancient Rituals" represents his personal take on the most primitive rhythms and soundscapes, taking the listener into a trance state.

CODECAST XY - Vrika - Ancient Rituals

For this episode we'd like to give a warm welcome to the Paris-based artist, Knay.
He started his project in 2018 with a first EP out on Natch Records. 
Sound exploration is the main focus while having a studio session. This exploration combines many different elements including nature sounds, analog gear recordings, transposed and time stretched samples that are used to create textures and rhythm.

With an extremely original approach and mesmerizing layer overlaping, he's easily able to take the traveler into inner dimensions and get lost there for a while, altering his/her state of consciousness, gradually guiding it into a deeper version of itself.
