Since 2012, Caldera has been creating a unique and personal blend of Techno and Bass music with a love for detail and a dedicated sounddesign that immerses listeners into imaginary worlds.

His experiments with drums and rhythms result in grooves that represent a new and fresh way of looking at dance music while exploring a deeper side of it and leaving bpm restrictions behind.

Caldera's creations have found a home on labels such as Berlin's Nummer Music, Chicago's Kimochi Sound and Bristol's Pressure Dome while his Loop LF moniker has previously been a mainstay on London based Well Steet Records.

It's 1 March, winter's almost at an end and it's time to discover this new session, the nineteenth since the series began, and today we're honoured to invite an immensely talented and machine-savvy artist based in Zurich, Mateo Hurtado!  Here, the artist offers us an hour of mystical, tribal set, a mix of shamarnic incantations, binaural drum beats, celestial pads and distant synthetic chants that could evoke the dawn of humanity. Mateo Hurtado is a well-known figure in deep techno music, having produced albums and EPs on prestigious labels such as @annulled_music and @spacedrummeditation, on @secuencias_temporales, and was also featured on our ACCENTVA series. This winter, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno and Drum & Bass.

Artist biography :
Iffie is a dj and project currator based in Athens.
Her sound explores dark and deep elements with an affinity for modern techno. She loves making her sets as cohesive as possible, intertwining various genres by leaving no room for sudden transitions.
She has established her own Podcast Series called Into The Abyss.

aeternae (@aeternae-music), founder of  "substrate", is an Italian artist based in Barcelona with a strong connection two both audio and visual ways of artistic expressions. His DJ sets and productions are a unique fusion of euphoric and psychedelic techno, distinctive with his captivating and attentive sound design. Sharing the same characteristics as his productions, his  DJ sets delve deeper into the psychedelic dimension of techno, leading the dancefloor to a state of euphoria, through his precise, deliberate control over sound and energy. His approach stimulates both the mind and body, bringing out strong emotional energies.

"It was my fourth time behind the decks of my favorite club in Lyon and it was my best experience in this place so far. 
I loved spending these three hours and opening the club for @voiski's live set and @sinaxxmusic. 
Starting with deep techno and moving towards something more mental, broken and full of weird textures, using sometimes timeless bangers and new musical weapons. This set was full of spontaneity and that's why it was this good.
Sadly, the record cut somewhere before the end of my set for some reasons but nevermind, feeling really stoked to have these 2,5 hours as a reminder.
