En ce doux mois de mars, GDSS à l’honneur de recevoir Toé (@toe_music) . Co-fondatrice des collectifs français Ouroboros et EWO, Toe explore la musique en s’émancipant des genres. Combinant des grooves hypnotisants afin de créer des contes sonores, elle se concentre sur une recherche infinie d’atmosphères tribales et psychédéliques. 
Concernant son mix, voici ces mots : « Mon inspiration pour ce set est l'Eau, comme matière mais aussi comme énergie. Force élémentaire, le fluide aux formes infinies, la source de l'adaptabilité, des émotions et de la vie. C’est une invitation à plonger dans ce liquide musical et vous laisser porter par des vagues, explorant différents univers entre sonorités instrumentales, transambiantales et tribales. »

In this balmy month of March, GDSS is honoured to welcome Toé. Co-Founder of Ouroboros and EWO French collectives, Toe explores music with no genre distinction combining hypnotic grooves, feeling music as an energy to experience. She focuses on an infinite search for psychedelic and tribal atmospheres creating sonic tales to enhance imagination.
Regarding her mix, here is her words: « My inspiration for this set is water, as mater but also as energy. Elemental force, the fluid of infinite shapes and forms, flowing source of adaptability, emotion and life. It’s an invitation for a dive into this sonic liquid and to be carried by the waves, exploring different universes encompassing instrumental, transambiantal and tribal sounds. »

Repping an oft overlooked Swiss techno contingent comes the next guest in Bassiani’s podcast series. Basel born and raised Garçon is one of the most promising names to call the bucolic town on the shores of the Rhine his home. He got an early start, mixing from the age of 14 and booked a mere two years later, assiduously cobbling together influences in his early work and soon delivering performances city-wide. First those at Hinterhof (now closed) and then those at local staple Elysia. With musical collaborator Agonis he’s also fired up techno label Amenthia Recordings, an agar dish for like-minded Basel music makers. His own sonic experiments are a purely live affair, and that’s no bad thing. Garçon’s escapades, from Waking Life to Barcelona’s Parallel have honed his voice and made of him an adept hand when faced with the strenuous demands of modulating crowd energy. Nodding to a range of influences across the electronic map he harbours a superlative talent for finding niche sounds at the fringes of common scope. Enter Podcast 208: towering, no-bullshit sounds, an hour of ghostly, mechanical whispers and powerful basslines, earth-shaking and infinitesimally precise techno from this connoisseur selector.

TSUNIMAN's spellbinding trance, spacey techno, and progressive psy delights are bound by layers of the quirky and ethereal.
A moodier soundtrack for when the lights go low, TSUNIMAN's sound alchemy blends dark hypnotic elements with bright vibrations, creating otherworldly soundscapes that captivate the senses. For the past three years, they have been a resident at Klub Verboten, an alternative play party hosted in London and Berlin. After an unforgettable b2b set at Field Maneuvers festival in the Summer of 2023, they started running their party with Miro SundayMusiq - Saturday Club* - an intimate club night centred around the notion of community and supporting grassroots venues.
Their eclectic selections — often spanning 90s psychedelic trance and throbbing hypnotic techno — have earned them guest shows on numerous local and international radios, such as Rinse FM, Balamii, Noods, Radio80k, and Radio DY10. Over the last few years, they have shared the stage with the likes of Len Faki, Dasha Rush, HAAi, and LOLSNAKE, to name a few. Venturing beyond borders, they have played at renowned French clubs Macadam and Rex Club, as well as Berlin's underground favourites OHM and Club OST. Within the dynamic London techno scene, TSUNIMAN has become a regular at FOLD, performing at multiple editions of the captivating UNFOLD party. Debuting on Boiler Room with an energetic closing set earlier this year, you can be sure there will be plenty more opportunities to hear them perform.

The sprawling canopy of the banyan tree, with its aerial roots reaching down to the earth, symbolizes the diverse landscape of my musical exploration within this mixtape. Much like the banyan's ability to thrive in various environments, from dense forests to urban landscapes, my mixtape traverses through a multitude of electronic music genres. From the deep, atmospheric beginnings reminiscent of the shaded undergrowth to the vibrant crescendos akin to sunlit clearings, the mixtape mirrors the adaptability and resilience of the banyan tree.
